SkipMute for Twitch does not collect, sell, or store personal data on external servers controlled by the extension developer.

The extension runs only on Twitch VOD pages. It reads the active VOD player state and muted segment metadata so it can skip muted sections. Settings are stored in the browser's extension storage.

To load muted segment metadata, the extension may send the current Twitch VOD ID to Twitch endpoints. Mozilla classifies this as browsing activity because it is derived from the page the user is visiting.

If you add optional Twitch Helix API credentials in the settings page, those values are stored locally in browser extension storage and are sent only to Twitch API endpoints when loading VOD metadata.

The extension does not include analytics, advertising, remote code execution, or third-party tracking.
