Search results are increasingly clogged with content-farm pages: template listicles, affiliate walls, auto-generated "guides." slopfilter scores each result on Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo and dims the ones that look like farms — softly, reversibly, and locally.

How it works

• Scoring runs on your device, from the result's URL and title alone. Nothing about your searches leaves your browser.
• Every result shows its score; results over your threshold are dimmed (or hidden, or just badged — your choice). Every suppression reverses in one click.
• Flag a bad result in two taps. Flags roll up to the domain level, and a domain only reaches the shared list after a human reviews the site.
• Optional deep inspection fetches a flagged page (never running its scripts) and shows concrete evidence: missing bylines, affiliate-link density, template structure, leftover chatbot text, boilerplate phrasing.

What it deliberately does not do

• It never claims a page is "AI-generated" — that can't be proven, so we don't assert it. It shows what was measured: "flagged by 12 users · no author byline · heavy affiliate linking."
• No accounts, no login. An anonymous, rotatable install id is the only identifier.
• No analytics SDKs, no tracking. An optional, off-by-default daily counter summary is the only telemetry, and it contains no URLs or search terms.

When you flag a result, the only data sent is the site's domain, a one-way hash of the page path, and your chosen reason. Never the full URL, never a query string, never a page title.
