the redirect happens way down in firefox's network layer via declarativenetrequest, so nothing has to wake up and think about your request first. it is instant and it stays instant on android, where background pages get killed constantly.
nothing is collected, stored remotely, or sent anywhere. the rules sit in your own browser storage and sync between desktop and android.
regular expressions work too, for the cases the plain host form cannot express.
