Privacy Policy — Smart Claude Importer

Short version: Your content stays yours. Pages, highlights, and transcripts are processed locally on your device and saved only to your own Anthropic Claude Project Knowledge when you choose to import them. We run no analytics, and we never sell your data.

1. What data the extension handles:
2. Content you choose to import: When you import an article, a text selection, or a YouTube transcript, the page content is extracted and converted to clean Markdown locally in your browser. That content is transmitted directly to your own Anthropic Claude Project Knowledge so it can be saved as a notebook source. Content is never sent to servers operated by us.
3. Pro license information (optional): If you purchase and activate a Pro license, the extension sends your license key together with a randomly generated device ID over HTTPS to our license proxy to activate and periodically re-validate your purchase via Creem.io. The extension never collects or sees your payment card details.
4. Settings and counters: Preferences and daily import counters are stored locally in your browser storage. The extension collects no analytics, telemetry, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.
5. How data is used:
   All handling of data is strictly limited to providing the extension's single purpose: importing the content you choose into your Anthropic Claude Project Knowledge, and validating an optional Pro license purchase.

7. Anthropic Claude Project Knowledge: Content you explicitly import is saved to your own Anthropic Claude Project Knowledge.
8. Creem.io: License key and random device ID are processed by Creem.io solely for license validation.
9. Cloudflare: The license proxy runs on Cloudflare Workers.
   We never sell user data and never transfer it for advertising, profiling, or credit scoring.
10. Security:
    All data transmitted off your device is sent over secure HTTPS/TLS.
11. Retention and deletion:
    Local settings, counters, and license cache are removed when you uninstall the extension or clear browser storage.
