Everything runs locally in Firefox. No analytics, no tracking, and your audio is never uploaded. Sound Adjuster is open source.
Turn up a quiet video, soften the bass, or adjust the balance in your headphones.
Sound Adjuster gives you control over audio in Firefox, with settings you can save for each site.
When you've found settings you like, turn on Remember. Sound Adjuster restores them when you return to that site. You can also save named profiles and switch between different setups for the same website.
Your controls
• Increase or reduce volume, with up to 5x gain on supported media.
• Adjust bass, low mids, mids, high mids, and treble with a 5-band equalizer.
• Choose a built-in equalizer preset or adjust the bands yourself.
• Change stereo balance, switch to mono, or swap the left and right channels.
• Disable processing on individual sites and manage your exceptions.
Settings stay active when you close the popup and apply to media added later on the same page. The controls are available in light and dark themes.
Website compatibility
Sound Adjuster works with standard HTML audio and video players. Some websites use protected media or browser restrictions that limit the available controls. The popup explains when audio adjustments aren't available.
Privacy
Audio processing happens in your browser. Sound Adjuster has no analytics or tracking and does not upload your audio or settings. Saved profiles and site preferences stay on your device; they are not synced. Site profiles are not read or saved in private windows or on non-HTTP(S) pages.
Sound Adjuster is free and open source.
