Spendemon is a local-first browser extension designed to interrupt impulsive online shopping without tracking your spending or telling you what to buy.
When you click a checkout or payment button, Spendemon asks one simple question: “Would you still want it tomorrow?” A short, configurable pause then gives you three clear choices: cancel the purchase, defer the item for 24 or 48 hours, or continue.
Spendemon also provides gentle nudges when products are added to the cart, a local quarantine list for deferred items, and a dashboard showing your decisions. It never tracks prices, budgets, spending totals, or purchase recommendations.
Everything stays inside your browser. Spendemon requires no account, uses no external server, and collects no telemetry or analytics. It does not read passwords, card details, or payment fields, and it cannot submit, cancel, or modify an order on your behalf.
The extension works across online stores, with more precise product detection for selected websites, and recognizes purchase actions in both English and Italian.
