tday Meeting Assistant adds live active-speaker attribution to tday standup transcripts and rolling notes.

After you explicitly enable speaker attribution, the extension reads text and name attributes from visible Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams interface elements that match its active-speaker selectors. Its content script can run on every page path covered by the allowlisted host patterns and observes document changes across the page for selector candidates. It sends each accepted speaker name and attribution metadata to an open tday standup review and, when installed, the tday Mac app.

For each accepted attribution signal, the extension forwards the extracted name, meeting platform, confidence, timestamp, temporary source ID, source type, and ordering number. While the same name remains active, it can refresh that signal after four seconds. It uses the current meeting-page URL and browser tab ID locally to recognize and validate the source, but does not forward or persist the full meeting URL. It does not capture or forward audio, chat, cookies, or participant lists. It does not execute remote code and makes no HTTP request itself.

Once a speaker name is applied to a transcript segment, tday's rolling-notes feature may send recent transcript text, including applied speaker names, to tday and Google Gemini to generate notes. Speaker attribution is off by default. Observation begins only after the user chooses Enable speaker attribution and the setting is saved. This setting applies across pages under the allowlisted meeting-service host patterns. When the popup confirms Turn off, live observation stops, in-memory speaker state is cleared, and native messaging disconnects.

The extension requires authorized access to tday Meeting Assistant through an open tday standup review or compatible tday Mac app. Speaker detection is best effort because meeting-service interfaces can change.
