Threadwing is local-first and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It has no backend, analytics, advertising, telemetry, remote configuration, or account system.

The extension processes the active ChatGPT conversation locally to provide rendering optimization, history, search, navigation, recovery, and export. Conversation data and its search index remain in extension-origin IndexedDB on the user's device. Settings are stored in local extension storage and are not synchronized. Short-lived draft-restoration and print data are removed after use.

Threadwing runs only on chatgpt.com and chat.openai.com. It requests storage permission and does not request cookies, browsing history, clipboard, identity, downloads, native messaging, or broad all-sites access. Exported files are created only after a user action.
