Never miss a sold-out screening at BFI Southbank or BFI IMAX again.
Pick a film, choose whether to watch every screening or just the times you want, and the add-on checks BFI's booking site in the background. When seats become available you get a desktop notification. Click it and the booking page opens with the Buy button already pressed for that screening.
FEATURES
• Southbank and IMAX: choose from films currently listed on BFI's site
• Watch all screenings of a film, including new dates BFI adds later, or tap the bell on specific times only
• Alerts when sold-out screenings free up and when new screenings go on sale
• One click from notification to seat selection; the cookie banner is dismissed for you, rejecting non-essential cookies where possible
• See every screening at a glance: available, sold out, or when it goes on sale
• Badge on the toolbar icon counts new alerts
• Checks every 5 minutes by default (adjustable from 1 to 60), or on demand with "Check now"
• Watch several films at once
HOW IT WORKS
The add-on reads the public listings on whatson.bfi.org.uk, the same pages you see in your browser. BFI's site is protected by Cloudflare. If a background check is blocked, the add-on briefly opens the page in a minimised window so Firefox can pass the check, then closes it.
PRIVACY
No data is collected, sent anywhere or shared. Your watched films and settings are stored only in your browser. The only site the add-on contacts is whatson.bfi.org.uk.
PERMISSIONS
• Access to whatson.bfi.org.uk: to read screening times and click the Buy link for you
• Notifications: to tell you when tickets open up
• Alarms: to run checks on a schedule
• Storage: to remember your watched films and settings
Tickets are only alerted once they are actually on sale. Screenings announced but not yet on sale show their on-sale date in the popup.
