TradeDesk is a free, local-first trading companion built directly into TradingView. It brings risk planning, position sizing, pre-trade discipline, market-session tracking, trade journaling, screenshots, and performance analytics into one focused workspace beside your chart.

No separate calculator website. No spreadsheet. No account required.

Plan the trade, check your discipline, record the result, and review your performance without leaving TradingView.

TradeDesk includes a detailed position-size and risk calculator for:
• Stocks
• Forex
• Crypto Spot
• Crypto Futures
• Futures
• Indices
• Commodities

Choose a long or short position, enter your account balance, and calculate risk using:
• Percentage of account balance
• Fixed cash risk
• Percentage of equity
• Maximum acceptable loss

Add your entry price, stop loss, and optional take-profit target. TradeDesk then estimates:
• Recommended position size
• Total position value
• Required capital or margin
• Maximum loss, including applicable costs
• Potential profit
• Reward-to-risk ratio
• Break-even price
• Account risk percentage
• Remaining account balance after opening the position

Calculations can include instrument-specific details such as:
• Leverage and margin requirements
• Contract size and tick value
• Pip size and pip value
• Commission and spread
• Maker and taker fees
• Slippage and swap costs

TradeDesk also warns you about common planning mistakes, including:
• Stop loss placed on the wrong side of entry
• Invalid or incomplete prices
• Excessive account risk
• Poor reward-to-risk
• Position size below the instrument minimum
• Unsupported short positions in spot markets
• Insufficient capital or margin

Use the chart controls to pull the visible TradingView price into the entry, stop-loss, or take-profit fields where supported.

Completed calculations can be saved to Calculator History or sent directly to the Journal as pre-filled trade entries.

TradeDesk includes searchable built-in instruments for Forex, crypto, futures, indices, and commodities.

Search using either the symbol or the full instrument name. Instrument metadata helps TradeDesk apply the correct pip, tick, contract, margin, and market-specific calculation settings.

The Checklist helps you slow down before entering a trade and verify that the setup follows your plan.

Default checks include:
• The setup matches the trading strategy
• Risk is within the maximum allowed
• A stop-loss level has been selected
• The potential reward justifies the risk
• The trade is not driven by FOMO, revenge, or impulsive price chasing

Every checklist item is editable. Add, rename, reorder, or remove items to match your own trading process.

When a trade is added to the Journal, TradeDesk can save a snapshot of the checklist and its completion state. This allows you to compare disciplined trades with trades where the process was skipped.

Record planned, open, and completed trades directly inside TradingView.

Each journal entry can include:
• Symbol and instrument category
• Long or short direction
• Position size
• Trade date and time
• Entry, stop-loss, take-profit, and exit prices
• Win, loss, or breakeven result
• P&L percentage and cash amount
• Setup and strategy tags
• Trading emotions
• Checklist results
• Before, during, and after screenshots
• Detailed notes about the setup, execution, mistakes, and lessons

Built-in tags can help classify trades as Breakout, Reversal, Trend, Range, Scalp, Swing, or any custom category you create.

Emotion tracking includes options such as Confidence, Fear, FOMO, Greed, Revenge, and Discipline.

Journal entries can be:
• Added manually
• Pre-filled from the Calculator
• Created through the right-click menu
• Edited or deleted
• Searched by symbol, tag, or notes
• Filtered by result and setup
• Exported to CSV
• Backed up and restored using JSON

Capture the visible TradingView chart and attach it to your journal entry.

Before taking the screenshot, TradeDesk temporarily hides its own interface so the saved image contains a clean chart without the extension panel covering it.

Screenshots are optimized and stored locally to reduce browser storage usage.

The Stats tab analyzes your journal locally and helps you understand both results and trading behavior.

Available statistics include:
• Total closed trades
• Wins, losses, and breakeven trades
• Win rate
• Total P&L percentage
• Profit factor
• Average realized R-multiple
• Equity curve
• Current win or loss streak
• Calendar-style daily P&L
• Performance by time of day
• Performance by day of week
• Performance by setup and tags
• Performance by symbol
• Performance by emotion
• Checklist-completed versus checklist-skipped performance
• Emotion-to-dollar analysis when P&L amounts are available

Average R-multiple is calculated from entry, stop, and exit prices, helping you evaluate execution based on planned risk rather than only the amount of money gained or lost.

Filter your statistics by:
• Last 7 days
• Last 30 days
• Last 90 days
• All recorded history

Save trading plans before taking a position and reopen them later.

Each saved calculation can include:
• Market and instrument
• Direction
• Entry, stop, and target prices
• Position size
• Risk amount
• Expected profit
• Reward-to-risk ratio
• Account currency
• Original calculator settings

Calculator History is useful for reviewing how a trade was originally planned, duplicating similar setups, and reusing previous calculations.

The Times tab helps you track major financial centers, market sessions, and overlap periods.

It includes:
• Your local time
• World clocks for major trading cities
• Important market-session times
• Open and closed market indicators
• Approaching-open and approaching-close alerts
• Configurable timezone
• 12-hour or 24-hour clock format

Track sessions such as London, New York, Tokyo, Sydney, and other important financial centers.

This is especially useful for Forex and Futures traders who plan around session openings, closings, and high-liquidity overlap periods.

Configure TradeDesk once and use your preferred values for future calculations.

Settings include:
• Default account size
• Account currency
• Default risk method and value
• Risk presets
• Maximum allowed risk percentage
• Preferred minimum reward-to-risk ratio
• Default maker and taker fees
• Default commission
• Default leverage

Choose between light and dark themes and enable reduced-motion mode when needed.

TradeDesk uses Shadow DOM isolation to keep its interface separate from TradingView. This helps prevent TradingView styles from breaking the extension and prevents TradeDesk from changing the chart website’s own design.

Your trading data is stored in the extension’s local browser database.

This includes:

• Journal entries
• Calculator history
• Screenshots
• Checklist results
• Settings and preferences

You can export your data at any time:

• CSV for spreadsheet analysis
• JSON for a complete backup and restore workflow, including screenshots

You can also import previous CSV or JSON files and move your records between compatible browsers, devices, or extension versions.

A clear-data tool is available in Settings and requires confirmation before permanently removing local records.

TradeDesk does not require an account for its local trading tools.

Your private trading information is not included in analytics. TradeDesk does not send your:
• Trades
• Symbols
• Prices
• P&L
• Notes
• Screenshots
• Checklist details

Export and backup files are created locally inside your browser.

TradeDesk may collect limited anonymous technical or product-interaction events, such as whether onboarding was completed or a feature was opened. Where consent is required, the extension respects your privacy choice.

TradeDesk works directly on TradingView pages and supports:

• Toolbar-button activation
• Keyboard shortcuts
• Right-click context-menu actions
• Chart symbol and price detection where available
• Clean chart screenshot capture
• Isolated Shadow DOM interface

Keyboard shortcuts include:
• Alt + C — Open Calculator
• Alt + J — Open Journal
• Alt + Shift + S — Open Stats
• Alt + N — Create a new trade

The right-click menu can open the risk calculator, create a journal entry, or begin a screenshot workflow.

TradeDesk is designed around a repeatable process:
1. Calculate the position size and account risk.
2. Confirm the setup using the pre-trade checklist.
3. Save the plan or create a journal entry.
4. Capture the chart before, during, and after the trade.
5. Record the result, execution, and emotions.
6. Review statistics and improve the process.

TradeDesk is free to use and brings disciplined risk management, journaling, session awareness, and performance review directly into your TradingView workspace.

Install TradeDesk, open any supported TradingView chart, and launch your trading workspace from the toolbar.
