Twitter/X to Nitter intercepts navigation to x.com and twitter.com before it leaves your browser, and redirects it to a working Nitter frontend. X never receives the navigation.

Instance selection: follows the Nitter Instance Health service, polled roughly every 15 minutes. Instance choice is weighted by that service's data and by your own past navigation outcomes on your network — no probe traffic is ever sent.

Automatic fallback:
- If the chosen instance is rate limited, errors, or doesn't render as Nitter, the extension tries the next one automatically
- If every instance fails, you see a clear failure page instead of being sent to X

No telemetry, no analytics, no backend operated by this project.
