UK Test Booking Helper makes it easier to grab an earlier driving-test cancellation slot on the DVSA booking site — without constantly refreshing the page yourself.

It runs only on the official DVSA practical test booking pages, inside your own logged-in session. When an available slot appears that matches your filters, it:

• Highlights the slot on the page
• Alerts you with a desktop notification and an optional sound
• Optionally auto-selects the earliest matching slot for you (clicks the date, the time, then Reserve) and then STOPS — so you complete the CAPTCHA, review and payment yourself

You stay in full control of every booking.

FILTERS
• Only flag dates earlier than your current test date
• Optional "don't flag dates before" lower bound
• Restrict to your preferred test centres
• Polite auto-refresh with a configurable interval (30-second minimum) and random jitter

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
• It does not solve CAPTCHAs
• It does not log in for you
• It does not pay or confirm bookings automatically
• It does not book on anyone's behalf but your own
• It does not run in the background on other websites

PRIVACY
No data is collected or transmitted anywhere. Your settings (target date, preferred centres, etc.) are stored locally in your browser using the storage API. The extension has no analytics, no remote servers, and no tracking.

This is an unofficial personal-use tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA or gov.uk. Please use considerate refresh intervals.

This add-on activates only on driverpracticaltest.dvsa.gov.uk, which requires a real DVSA driving-test booking (licence number + booking reference) to reach the slot pages. We cannot provide a shared test account for a UK government service.

To verify behaviour without an account, open test/test-runner.html from the source. It loads the real content.js and content.css again
