Après l'installation du module, lorsque l'on veut se servir de l'application, il est demandé d'installer un programme supplémentaire Video DownloadHelper Companion App 1.3.0, sous forme d’exécutable.
C'est nouveau ce truc ! Le module seul ne suffit plus.
Ne pouvant donc m'en servir sans ce programme supplémentaire, j'ai désinstallé.

Не работает. Установил расширение только для того, чтобы скачать с яндекс видео. Можно скачать только рекламу и превью.

Tried to download an old public domain video last night and saw this huge QR code superimposes on it. I believe this will prove to be shooting oneself in the foot. Looking for another downloader now....

Don't get me wrong. I don't expect people to work for nothing, they are entitled to compensation for their efforts. But forcing downloads with ADP and disabling "browser" downloads (that's what's happening for me), and charging for the converter (rather than support by donations) wasn't the right way to go about it.

They just REMOVED the "copy the address of the Link" function so it just loss all its Utility to me. That's Pathetic. I'm NOT Gonna Install anything on my computer from them !

When there's an option to download via browser, it MIGHT work. Sometimes. Most of the time the Download Helper won't even detect any media on the website.
And the companion app is totally useless. It's so slow and unreliable, it reminds me of good old days of 56k modems.

Forces an additoonal install that accesses info on your computer and then after download tells you that there is a license fee if you want a non-watermarked version of the video. Pure scam.

Der Video DownloadHelper ist nicht in der Lage, unter W 7 video streams zu erkennen. Da ist er nicht alleine, auch alle anderen versuchsweise installierten Downloader versagen.
Die Benutzeroberfläche könnte klarer sein. Beenden der Aufnahme ist umständlich.
Unter W 10 funktioniert es meist, aber nur ein einziger Record am Stück ist möglich. Nach Beendigung dieses Records kann der Clip nur abgespielt werden. Um weiter aufzunehmen, muß der Rechner neu gestartet werden.
Das ist also noch sehr unbefriedigend.

Einfache Video-Dateien (mp4 etc.) können die Browser selbst auf die Festplatte speichern, für gestreamte flash Videos benötigt man aber ein Tool.

It does not work, it is not clear why, use his personal folder, need an additional software to start, the gui is awful.

This used to my go to add on, however now it's changed where anything high resolution requires the download of a "companion app", which places a QR code at the top left (not a watermark, a white background code) of the video. The fee to remove this is currently USD $28.50. In my case the downloaded video can't be skipped in VLC so lucky I checked before paying for this (skipping results in the video freezing what a grey square and some artifacts)
