Old review: Works extremely well, thank you. This has hardly ever failed to work, and when it has, I believe it was because the servers involved were specially designed to thwart download attempts.

Update: Lowering my rating because the latest update caused it so that we have to wait for the file to finish downloading before we can choose a location... This means that while you're doing other things, all of a sudden a window pops up and asks you where to save the file... For one, it's extraordinarily easy to click things on accident and mess it up, and THEN you have redownload the entire file all over again! But also, by the time it finally finishes downloading you may not even remember what you were downloading or where you wanted to put it or name it... This has GOT to get fixed...

The App would be nice if they warned clearly that they add a HUGE QR code in every video you download, unless you pay.

Since 2 or 3 weekes it is not working properly on Raiplay website. I can only download the video but not the audio. Result: I have a mute video! It is impossible to contact the support team of Video DownloadHelper. / It was a great tool to dounload videos but now is full of bugs. / Depuis quelques semaines sur certains site (ex. Raiplay) télécharge seulement la vidéo mais pas l'audio. On se retrouve avec une vidéo muet. Dommage, il fonctionnait très bien avant. Il est presque impossible de contacter le soutien.

It's was the best Add on to download Video, but since 1 week now. The video only stay in "waiting spool list" and do not download anymore. What is happening???

Edit 2023: I hardly use it anymore. Whenever I would want to use it to download a YT video it striaght-up does not work. Modern internet sucks.

Kind of works, unless you have to deal with ADP or Full HD Videos. Will take forever to convert/merge/whatever the video after initial download. Unfortunately, not that useful anymore if you want Full HD videos.

Ужасно. Совершенно неинтуитивный интерфейс. Поганит качество 4K видео при сохранении, запуская ненужную конвертацию, вставляя при этом QR-код в видео. Аналогично, при операции сведения локальных файлов аудио и видео. Ставит почти 100МБайтный модуль для работы - нахрена столько много? Впрочем, иногда видео в FullHD сохраняет нормально, только поэтому 2 балла.

So many download choices and some of them seem to be the same - I don't know which to pick, and most of the time what I do pick comes with video only - no sound. I could try again, and sometimes I do, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get a watchable video with the next try, and in the meantime I'm wasting data (and my connection has a data limit). On the rare occasions I've gotten something watchable it has a QR code in the corner, which is annoying. In trying to simplify things I've looked for a way to limit the formats I can use but the settings, of which there are a lot, make no sense to me. Basically - this is not very user-friendly and it works only rarely. The only reason I haven't removed it is because I can't find another option that works; if I do this one is going away.

It 'Requires' us to install a 3rd party app to actually save videos and who knows if it does so even then? If a company resorts to under handed methods to get business then it isn't worth mine.

When want to convert mp3, it wants you to download Companion Helper separately. Note it's AFTER you d/l CH and try to use it that it asks for money. Very sneaky, should be upfront and mention it before installing.

Ich habe das Addon lange genutzt, bis es immer mehr zu Problemen kam. Ich weiß nicht mehr, welche, weil ich schon seit langem auf eine Freeware umgestiegenbin.
Die Software macht ihen Job mindestens genaus so gut wie dieses Addon. Ich sehe keinen Grund, wieder zu diesem Addon zurück zu kehren.

This add-on has a very ugly QR Code on the downloaded videos. Time to move to another add-on.

It needs to istall a companion app and don't work without. Требует скачать и установить экзешник, без сторонней программы плагин не работоспособен.

Doesn't work on FF 83. Downloading and converting (conversion app enabled) from Youtube is gone. Neither ADP nor MP4.
