Didn't install this "companion" app, but 720p videos are now downloading in weird generic "file" extensions. Gotta convert them manually. If this watermark talk is real... Well, sayonara!

Version 7.0 is absolutely useless 'cause we have to buy a plugin.
I'm gonna delete it and install another addon for downloading video files.

used to be okay, now you need some add on for some downloads and it puts a HUGE watermark on the video. Deleting the addon now. Do yourself a favor and just wait for the Ant Video Downloader to be updated for 57 because this downloader is now useless

The only reason VDH was popular among us is because it can download the whole image set with two clicks,
Now it only can grab videos but again i don't use it for that!

and just to be clear, the companion software is only available on Linux and its only for converting as far as i can see, so again, whats the point!

The web extension needs to be what we always knew and expect it to be not this.

HOW COME YOU NEED TO INSTALL A THIRD-PARTY PROGRAM TO MAKE THE ADDON WORK AND THERE'S OTHER ADDONS THAT DO THE SAME JOB WITHOUT IT?

"Video Downloader Professional" does the same job and doesn't require an external APP. Devs please stop lying to the users.

I don't know if it's spyware or bitcoin miner they want to infect our PCs but I will not fall on this one.

It SUCKS big time with the new Firefox 57 browser...no options to download anything now....it always worked from 56 and before that!

NOT FREE, Most downloads require an ADP paid plugin and now this plugin requires a dodgy 3rd plugin to be installed.

Requires a helper which you end up having to pay for! (At least $18!)

This use to by 5 star 4 years ago. I used it a ton to download small snippets of things to edit. I once called it GREAT! Today the review changes.

It wants you to download an additional piece of software making having an extension in the first place pointless. NOW WHY DO THEY DO IT? Well to push you to PRO of course.

Now you may be asking doesn't it have a nice free version. Yeah sure but guess what unless you want a QR code that takes up a portion of your screen you pretty much want to skip it. I'm find donating but yeah this addon has long past its expiration date.

Also, if I wanted to have an extra program installed on my PC to do this I would have bought one. Which is what I'm going to do. Why not? There are cheaper better things out there so...

You have to pay to get that watermark thing off of most your videos, it's 28 dollars and what's the point? when you can download videos elsewhere for free. plus the quality is low.
