What the hell is that QR Code in the corner? Why shold I pay for this??

you have to pay, otherwise it adds nasty QR to video and is very slow

It started nice but now you have to pay so you don't get a watermark. What a nerve this creators have. Now they're popular, they sort of oblige you to pay instead donating.

Era ottimo, quasi geniale, ora distrugge il video con un codice a barre e servono 18 euro per toglierlo senza nemmeno poter usare PayPal, tra l'altro ora scarica file da 1 minuto in 5 minuti mentre era velocissimo in precedenza, presto si mangerà tutto il credito che si era guadagnato e fallirà grazie alla cattiva implementazione ed all'avidità degli sviluppatori.
It was great, almost genial, now it destroys the videos with a barcode and you need 25 dollars to remove it and they don't even allow PayPal, also now it downloads 1 minute video in 5 minute while was light-fast before, this add-on will soon eat all the credit it earned and fail miserably due to poor progreamming and greed, it was a fun ride, farewell.

9 out of 10 downloads don't finish. It doesn't pause. It just ends with 10% or 20% of the video downloaded. You have to try countless times.

used to be good but through efforts to thwart these extensions it's become rather messy and convoluted.
requires a 'companion app' installed catch certain videos, which takes hours to d/l and convert. you might as well just install AVC which catches more than this and is over 10x faster.

Requiring a second download, in order to function. If I recall, it used to be a stand-alone add-on. However, I'm receiving a message that I need to download some other application, in order for DLH to operate.

Most recent version is coy about which versions require the paid software extension and which do not.

It used to be the best around. Nowadays it doesn't offer an option to never convert any downloaded video. It forcibly converts any video you download (except for Youtube) and adds a watermark to it if the converter isn't registered.

The download button is a mess. It never used to be great, but it was good.

Need donate for removing Watermarks.

Works well for some videos. For others, you need an additional download.
Installed the companion application. First video I tried had huge watermark. Sure I can remove the watermark, for $28. Seriously overpriced.

I have been using DownloadHelper for years now, and have contributed to their service.
I know we are not supposed to post bug reports here, but there is nothing in the add-on community about the problem I am having, and no response from bug reports.
No matter what video website I am using, only partial videos download on most videos. I have removed and reinstalled the add-on and associated add-on and checked for updates numerous times, but no change. I have reported the bug, but no response at all for weeks. Others have reported this, and I've tried to use their suggested fixes, but nothing has worked.
IF they get this bug out of the system, I will rerate this add-on for 5 stars. It used to be excellent for years, and now this bug I can't fix.
HELP anyone?

I've started getting the message that videos are being converted and leaving a qr code after using this thing for a year. I have never asked the program to convert videos. If I want that I can do it myself easily after downloading. So, I've been looking for a way to turn this conversion on the fly feature off but I can't. So rather than waste anymore time I'm just going to stop using it. Seems easier. Too bad, it was fairly easy to use. Hopefully there's one that gets the job done without trying to force me to purchase a license.
