Bait and switch. Offers downloads but any video downloaded is transparently converted, significantly lowering the bitrate while also watermarking the stream with a QR code. This code linking a site where visitors are prompted to purchase a license for the 'converter' to remove the watermark. A mark that wouldn't exist if the 'downloader' just downloaded the source without superfluous conversion. It's deceptive, invisibly inserting itself into the media in an effort to trick the gullible into believing they need a license that would, if the media wasn't converted in the first place, be unnecessary. Not to mention it appears they've got some sort of bot service periodically five-star reviewing the extension presumably to bury negative reviews.

You have to pay for an open source converter, or it will encode a large Qr code into the result with poor quality. So here you need an extra program just to be able to collect for this program. This is not what you expect, you want to download the stream without manipulating the stream.

This app worked perfectly for ONE month. Then never worked again. It is worthless and I suggest not wasting time with it.

This add-on is useless and confusing. When I tried to use it, it asked me to submit a URL address. It opened a new tab and gave me the following message "You have to setup a suitable URL for your favorite downloader service. You can use the variable {url} to forward the currently viewed video URL to the downloader service." I don't understand this message and can't understand how this could be a reasonable way of setting up a download service. Nor do I have an URL address to submit to them. What does this mean? There is no explanation, nor supporting page or introduction. I've decided to delete the add-on even though FF recommended it. I'm assuming they made a mistake.

Without installing an external tool called a companion app, this add-on by itself cannot do anything.

Causes a lot of lag on Youtube streams and embeds. Fails to pick up audios on some videos. Not really needed if you know how to download without it.

After the last couple of Firefox updates (using Linux Mint) the apps started to download, only to find that there can be only a couple of minutes actually downloaded.
Tried to use this app on LibreWolf (tired of Firefox changing my settings for IPv6) but claims the video extension isn’t installed.
Used to be perfect, doesn't work on Librewolf so for me it's now useless.

Now even worse with this quick download nonsense telling you that it will download where it wants too.
Removed, may also change browsers as non of the video add-ons work as claimed mainly due to Mozilla.org.

Fuck your extension. It sucks. In 50% of cases it doesn't download the whole video. And what is this ADP bullshit and convert for YouTube videos. I can literly use a YouTube downloader website and it downloas an .mp4 video in in its entirety with sound and video with no watermark. So yeah, fuck You and your extension.

Latest version is not able to download from several sites which the previous had no problem with, the new interface is worse and, most importantly, if you are downloading from a page where the media is changing periodically the new version will make a mess with smart naming changing the name of all the media link it found in that page and you will not be able to understand which is the correct media you want to download.

Inserta un QR en los videos descargados. Si se lee la descripción de la extensión, no dice en ningún lugar que vaya a hacerlo o que los videos tendrán ese QR sobreimpreso.

You to pay to get rid of watermarks on YT videos, and it's ridiculously expensive. Edit: use "dirpy", worked for me but it's a site not a addon.

Addon never works, it does not download any videos (on any website that has video embedded). All it provides are tiny "video" files, none of which are the actual video! I have used many addons over the years, this is definitely a faulty one.
