Vinegar shows who owns the brands you're shopping for, directly on product pages.
How it works
- On supported retailer product pages, Vinegar reads the product brand from the page and looks it up against Vinegar's ownership database.
- An on-page card shows the parent company, subsidiaries, and related ownership info.
- You can switch between a panel or floating display, or hide the card from the popup.
Supported retailers
- Amazon (multiple regional sites)
- Walmart and Target requires an active premium subscription

- Sign-in opens getvinegar.com in a new tab; the extension stores a token locally for API requests.
- Only the brand name is sent for lookups, not full page URLs, prices, cart contents, or purchase history.
- No third-party analytics or tracking. Requests go to getvinegar.com only.
Links opened from the extension (only when you click them): sign-in, contribute a correction, report a claim, or open support tickets.
