YouTube Shorts Limiter is an extension designed to help you regain control over your time by limiting the excessive watching of YouTube Shorts on Google Chrome.

- Time Quota System: Set a maximum viewing time (e.g., 30 minutes) within a specific sliding window (e.g., every 2 hours).
- Intelligent Tracking: The timer only runs when you are actively watching a YouTube Short.

Visual Alerts & Notifications:
- A non-intrusive notification appears when you have consumed 50% of your allowed time.
- An additional alert when only 5 minutes remain.
- Alerts can be disabled in the settings.
- A full-screen overlay blocks access to Shorts once the limit is reached, showing a countdown until your next quota.
- Blocking Schedules: Ability to completely disable access to Shorts during specific time slots and days of the week.
- Browser Notifications: Receive a system notification when your quota is renewed and Shorts are available again.
- Icon Badge: A red badge (●) appears on the extension icon when access is currently blocked.
- No Silent Resume: when a quota renews or a blocking schedule ends, any Short that was open stays paused in every open tab — playback never restarts on its own, so watching again is always a deliberate action.
- Browser Compatibility: Fully compatible with Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
- Dynamic Tab Titles: The YouTube tab title changes to indicate when the limit has been reached.

⚙ How it works
- Sliding Window: If you set a limit of 30 minutes for a 2-hour period, the extension tracks your viewing within that window. The window starts when you begin watching your first Short.
- Daily Total: In addition to the quota, you can see your total viewing time for the current day, which resets automatically at midnight.
- Schedules: You can add multiple blocking ranges (e.g., 9:00 to 17:00) and select specific days of the week to enforce focus periods.
- Weekly/Monthly/Yearly Stats: Statistics are aggregated from your daily viewing history.

🔒 Privacy Policy
Shorts Block does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Watching times and extension settings are stored locally in the user's browser. The extension does not record video titles, URLs, visited channels, or browsing history. No data is transmitted to third-party servers. History can be deleted at any time by the user in the Statistics tab.
