YouTube Liberated is a lightweight, high-performance extension designed to return control of the YouTube experience back to you. With 0 Ads, 0 Posts, 0 shorts, free up your interface, block distractions, and unlock premium features-completely free.
Optimized for both Firefox for Desktop and Firefox for Android, it functions seamlessly on mobile devices to give you a true YouTube Premium-style music and video experience.

Element Suppression: Injects optimized CSS rules directly under root classes (yt-block-ads, yt-block-shorts, yt-block-posts) to hide cluttered sections with zero layout layout-shifting or performance impact.
Interactive Ad Skipper: A targeted MutationObserver coordinates with event listeners on video elements to detect ads and instantly skip them, mute them, and set playback rate to 16x.
Background Audio Fix: Intercepts and overrides the browser's Page Visibility API so that YouTube is never notified when the browser tab loses focus or becomes hidden, preventing the video from pausing.
