A view count alone doesn't tell you much, and neither does a like count. A video with 2M views and one with 200K views can get the same audience response. What matters is the ratio between the two, and YouTube doesn't show it anywhere. This extension does the division for you and puts it on the toolbar badge.

Most "like rate" extensions scrape YouTube's page with CSS selectors, so they break every time YouTube redesigns. This extension has zero content scripts and zero CSS selectors. It never looks at the YouTube page. It reads the video ID from the URL and pulls the view and like counts from the official YouTube Data API, the same numbers YouTube itself publishes.

What you get:
- A toolbar badge with the like/view ratio (e.g. "4.2%") for the video in your active tab, updated automatically as you browse YouTube.
- Click the icon for a quick popup with the same number.
- Honest handling of edge cases: if a creator has hidden likes, or the video is private or deleted, the badge tells you that instead of guessing.

One-time setup: Chrome hides new extension icons by default. After installing, click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin Like Meter so the badge is visible on every tab.

What it doesn't do:
- No like/dislike ratio. YouTube stopped exposing dislike counts publicly, so no extension can show a real one anymore.
- No opinions. The badge doesn't say good or bad. It shows the number and lets you decide.
