YT Ratio Insights 0.6.0 expands the extension from individual video analysis into a broader local YouTube insights dashboard.

What's new:

Added Tracked Videos dashboard for recently analyzed videos.

Added projected view milestones with estimated time ranges when enough history is available.

Reduced unnecessary background polling and local-storage writes.

Tracked-video history, technical analysis, predictions, preferences, and comparison information remain stored locally in Firefox.

No new analytics, advertising, account requirement, or RatioWorks tracking service was added.

The biggest improvements are internal rather than adding more clutter:

Prediction history is much lighter. Snapshots are now kept at meaningful 15-minute intervals instead of repeatedly rewriting local storage.
Fixed a prediction-timestamp issue that could distort growth rates.
Serialized storage writes so popup/page activity cannot overwrite competing prediction-history updates.
Removed redundant storage reads after recording a snapshot.
RYD totals and available live viewer count can now be handled in one growth transaction.
Predictions now blend recent momentum + longer-window growth, making 24-hour/7-day projections less sensitive to short viral bursts.
Prediction confidence drops automatically when growth is unstable.
Turning off Growth & Prediction now actually stops collecting new local history, instead of merely hiding the section.
Reduced fallback YouTube polling from 1.8 sec → 3 sec.
Hidden YouTube tabs now skip watchdog work.
Technical metrics refresh approximately every 12 seconds rather than every ~5.4 seconds.
YouTube navigation/fullscreen/visibility events still update promptly.
Reorganized the main panel to:
Audience Insights → Growth & Prediction → Video Technical Insights
Simplified the aspect-ratio object-fit: cover calculation.
Kept Welcome/In, Exit/Remove and visible Donate controls.
No new permissions or network services.
Kept source readable rather than minifying it, which is better for AMO review.

The new Growth & Prediction Insights section now adds:

Prediction ranges, instead of pretending one exact number is guaranteed

Those numbers are only an example of how the interface works.

How the prediction works

I deliberately did not make it an AI-looking random number generator. The extension saves small snapshots when the same video is inspected again and calculates its recent growth rate.

It needs at least two observations 15+ minutes apart before forecasting. More observations over a longer period increase the confidence level.

The history is:

stored locally in Firefox
not uploaded to RatioWorks
automatically bounded/pruned
limited to approximately 30 days
limited to 72 observations per video
limited to about 50 recently tracked videos
removable with the new Clear local prediction history button in Settings

No new server and no new permission were added.
