Convert audio from a permitted public YouTube video or Short into an MP3 file directly in Firefox.

YTMP3X keeps the process straightforward: open a supported video, choose your MP3 quality, confirm that you have permission to process the media, and start. A dedicated processing page shows progress while the audio is downloaded and converted locally.

How to use:
1. Open a supported public YouTube video or Short.
2. Select the YTMP3X toolbar icon.
3. Choose the MP3 quality.
4. Read and select the permission/session confirmation.
5. Start the conversion and keep its processing page open until the file is saved.

Firefox may attach your existing YouTube session to direct YouTube and Googlevideo requests. YTMP3X does not read cookie values, passwords or account information. Firefox’s data disclosures cover the selected source information and necessary website requests—not behavioral tracking.

Requires desktop Firefox 140 or newer. Source availability and processing speed depend on your device, connection and YouTube’s response. A higher output bitrate cannot restore quality missing from the source.

Use only media you own, have permission to use, that is freely licensed, or that you are otherwise legally entitled to process. YTMP3X does not support bypassing private, members-only, age-restricted, unavailable or DRM-protected content.
