Bitwarden Password Manager by Bitwarden Inc.

by Firefox user 15069846, 7 years agoFor a free and open source password manager, you basically get a lot of features that the paid ones have, including syncing across multiple devices. Bitwarden has also has its security audit so despite being free it is still just as secure as any paid option. You may lose a few convenience features, but some of those features work against your security anyways.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Jisk, 18 days agoI used this for a long while and still have the app, but the extension's disabled. It reliably fails to unlock the vault, it just loops back to the unlock prompt without even a password field. But at least it's not actively harmful.

- Rated 3 out of 5by hnxeast, 20 days agoFor some time now, when entering the PIN in Bitwarden, the input is cleared before it can be confirmed. Only after entering the PIN a second time does it remain stable and allow confirmation. This issue occurs in both Firefox and Chromium browsers; I have not tested others. Bug or a security problem? It leaves me with an uneasy feeling

- Rated 3 out of 5by awawawaawawa, 21 days agoworks reasonably well but has a lot of annoying bugs that just seem to be getting worse over time. recently my biggest annoyance right now is that when I enter my PIN it sometimes doesn't register all key presses or sometimes just straight up deletes some of them for some reason.
- Rated 5 out of 5by PrettyKoolGuy, 23 days agoLove Bitwarden. Please add Customizable vault item templates and Additional Pre-defined item types (like Wifi passwords, SSH, database connections, etc.) Proton Pass implements them elegantly, and I would love to see these features come to Bitwarden.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Jake Hillion, a month agoGenerally a very good password manager, but a flaky add-on. I rely on Touch ID a lot and the add-on has had a bug for a very long time where Firefox full screen on macOS will be knocked out of fullscreen when you Touch ID. Also, the biometrics very rarely work first time after a reboot. Minor annoyances add up for something as frequently used as a password manager.
