by thechaplain, 5 years agoThe add-on itself is OK. However, you can't switch UI language, it's defaulted to the browser language, and the translations are full of huge mistakes, and the overall language quality is awful which drives me away from using the whole thing altogether.
UPDATE: even though I contacted BW with this issue and even put many hours of work into providing good translations for these strings, nothing has changed after 6 months - still no option to choose UI language and the extension and mobile app is still using the same terrible and uncomprehensible text elements, simply ignoring the correct ones I entered. Sad.
UPDATE 2: checked back after 5 years. Still the same. I just can't understand why you must force people to use the extension in a specific language, especially if your localisation is so awful.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Jisk, 10 days agoI used this for a long while and still have the app, but the extension's disabled. It reliably fails to unlock the vault, it just loops back to the unlock prompt without even a password field. But at least it's not actively harmful.

- Rated 3 out of 5by hnxeast, 12 days agoFor some time now, when entering the PIN in Bitwarden, the input is cleared before it can be confirmed. Only after entering the PIN a second time does it remain stable and allow confirmation. This issue occurs in both Firefox and Chromium browsers; I have not tested others. Bug or a security problem? It leaves me with an uneasy feeling

- Rated 3 out of 5by awawawaawawa, 13 days agoworks reasonably well but has a lot of annoying bugs that just seem to be getting worse over time. recently my biggest annoyance right now is that when I enter my PIN it sometimes doesn't register all key presses or sometimes just straight up deletes some of them for some reason.
- Rated 5 out of 5by PrettyKoolGuy, 14 days agoLove Bitwarden. Please add Customizable vault item templates and Additional Pre-defined item types (like Wifi passwords, SSH, database connections, etc.) Proton Pass implements them elegantly, and I would love to see these features come to Bitwarden.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Jake Hillion, 17 days agoGenerally a very good password manager, but a flaky add-on. I rely on Touch ID a lot and the add-on has had a bug for a very long time where Firefox full screen on macOS will be knocked out of fullscreen when you Touch ID. Also, the biometrics very rarely work first time after a reboot. Minor annoyances add up for something as frequently used as a password manager.

- Rated 2 out of 5by zemixboy, 20 days agoThe Bitwarden extension in Firefox version 115.33.0esr (64-bit) on Windows 7 64-bit installs but doesn't work. When clicking the "Bitwarden" icon on the extensions panel, the popup window appears and the loading circles spin indefinitely. The Bitwarden website logs in and works normally, but the extension does not work. For Google Chrome browser, the Bitwarden extension works correctly. Please fix the bug in Firefox. How to reproduce the problem? Uninstall the Bitwarden extension from Firefox — restart the browser — reinstall the Bitwarden extension — and it does not work.
