- Rated 3 out of 5by Berion, a year agoThe Font Fingerprint option does not work properly, which is easy to check, there is no option to fake values.
No option for your own User Agents list + randomization
Easy to detect - Rated 3 out of 5by planetm, 2 years agoNeeds to add Windows 11 profiles and drop Windows 7 profiles under it's random profile setting.
The spoofing options here are out of date with what's available today. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12497651, 3 years agoThe context menu(page right click) is in the way
I want to hide - Rated 3 out of 5by USER-EXPERIENCEONLY, 3 years ago3-27-25: works. But still hard to figure out the exact reason sites are blocking you. I imagine a sites javascripts negate chameleon settings to reveal that you're browser is FAKE? They need to incorporate more feedback from a site to determine how the lame site is blocking you.
8/24/24: can't keep settings. reverts to default browser without input from user. A PITA to use it. Too many settings, too much trouble to set up. Lacks user manual so user must be html programmer to figure out how to use it. Slow to load sometimes won't load at all.
9-22: FB detects the settings on this and won't allow you to login. Need an instruction book on how to spoof so website still works. Settings require advanced coding/scripting knowledge otherwise you're just shooting urself in the foot. Spoof and defingerprint but make the sites still work.
6-2022: Dont use it much cuz safe script has ability to fine tune profile blocking which I do not see in this addon. Some sites won't let you login if you don't have the right time zone or browser listed-needed a way to report this from the addon so user knows why they are being blocked by a website. Slow to load.
Need further details in manual just what all the settings do and how to avoid website blocking while still not letting them id and track you. It's not bad, it's just somewhat incomplete.
1-10-22: when pages detect something not right in your settings, such as time zone wrong or browser version not correct or screen resolution incorrect under chameleon settings, then page will not load and you get an error message from chameleon "not on whitelist". well If I wanted it on the whitelist, I would not be using chameleon to begin with. Needed a way to trick webpages and obfuscate your browser fingerprint WITHOUT them blocking you. Only way to do that is with a residential proxy. So I don't really see what purpose Cham. is if the site KNOWS your profile is fake? Most sites don't track by browser version anyways. Am I missing something here? need better documentation showing users how to use cham. Also SLOW to load and they have not fixed the problem where some other program has a popup and then Cham will not popup
changed recently, now will not load facebook and keeps asking to white list it. When you try to "white list" it, does not take, have to disable this ext to use facebook, not good. No explaination given. bad. - Rated 3 out of 5by AddonAnalyser, 4 years agoDisabling or setting a referrer policy currently doesn't seem to have an effect.

You can test your referer here: https://www.darklaunch.com/tools/test-referer to verify that disabling it work as intended. Can you create an issue here with your settings at the link above?
Have you tried resetting Chameleon's settings and selecting a profile + enable script injection? I'm not experiencing issues with a new install of Chameleon v0.12.0.
EDIT: This was caused by conflicting extensions. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14407334, 6 years ago-No option for random resolution change
-No option for random time zone change
-Options for Firefox browser spoofing too fewDeveloper response
posted 6 years agoIf you set the profile option to Random, Random Desktop or Random Mobile, set the screen resolution to profile, and use an interval, the screen resolution will randomly change.
Randomly changing the timezone isn't a good idea if you're IP isn't changing. If you use the IP option for the timezone option, the timezone will be automatically set when the browser starts.
Please read the wiki for the options Chameleon offers. If you have a suggestion, create an issue on the GitHub page. - Rated 3 out of 5by Sudisk, 7 years agoUnable to access settings in mobile.
Could you make the settings accessible or set appropriate default preferences for mobile?Developer response
posted 7 years agoI haven't tested this in the mobile version of Firefox. I'll see what I can do.
EDIT:
I just tested it with the mobile Firefox Nightly 57 & 60. I'm not sure what's causing issues, but I've opened an issue on Github. https://github.com/sereneblue/chameleon/issues/15
EDIT2:
Chameleon now works on Firefox for Android!
