by Firefox user 19806246, 2 months agoI noticed a very negative and frustrating issue: it doesn't translate images and comics, even though the text is clear. I hope this can be fixed. Thank you.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19566735, 15 hours agoA few months to a year ago I would have rated this 5 stars, translated great, having the bilingual mode was super helpful for language learning. However, the free version has been made practically useless recently. It randomly doesn't translate, or translates into other random languages now. All of the translation options available are AI, not even including basic ones like Google translate now (yes I know it's not perfect but I prefer it over less familiar ai models). Hopefully one day they'll see this, hopefully fix it, and bring back some of its original functionality. Untill then I'll probably only use this for YouTube captions at most (but even those have been breaking more than they did previously).

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19895628, 8 days agoas other people have pointed out, the free option from google and bing have been replaced by low quality gen-ai services (wrong translation into different language than intended, incorrect translation)

- Rated 1 out of 5by DD, 10 days agoIt's ridiculous that you've removed reliable options like Google and Microsoft Translate for free users on Android Firefox. Instead, you're forcing us to use third-party Chinese engines. It's so terrible.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19903725, 10 days agoWhy were Google Translate and Bing removed? It is now absolutely unusable.
I tried ‘KISS Translator,’ and it’s a great alternative. Thanks, user 13575087 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13575087, 11 days ago不能授受,沒有說明就移除 google 翻譯的功能。
推薦大家改用「KISS Translator 簡約翻譯」
The Google Translate feature has been removed without prior notice.

There's even no description or log about it.
They're no longer trustable. - Rated 1 out of 5by tremault, 12 days agoTranslation has gone erratic. I just noticed it has changed to all ai and the options for machine translation have disappeared. This is no longer trustworthy or reliable.
I had one sentence translated INTO CHINESE instead of english. I have never touched chinese. - Rated 1 out of 5by Toxic Flux, 12 days agoNo longer has a free option, just a limited time trial, also removed Google translate as an option so the translations are very bad now. Avoid this one at all costs, its garbage.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19895410, 15 days agoFree translations no longer allow the use of Google Translate or Bing. Replacement is very low quality and sometimes translates to multiple languages (e.g. Spanish source, translated to English, German and French, rather than just English).
- Rated 1 out of 5by beerholic, 16 days agoThe developers removed the Google Translator and Microsoft Translator options that were previously available on the free plan, leaving users with only an extremely low-quality “free translation service.” When translating English into Korean, it sometimes turns the text into Arabic instead, making this add-on no longer worth using
