posted 6 years agoI am sorry that my extension was not working correctly for you. Could you provide the URL for one of your bookmarks that was wrongly detected as 404? You can reach me via evilpies AT gmail DOT com or open a issue on github: https://github.com/evilpie/404-bookmarks.
Thank you. - Rated 3 out of 5by AnDroKtoNe, 6 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by vee, 6 years agoThis is good plugin but can be detect only 404 links. If I want to detect some other bookmark such as redirected bookmark, I have to use Bookmarks Organizer.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14138676, 6 years agoThis is a very useful add-on for Firefox! I have an extensive collection of bookmarks that I had been accumulating for literally decades and the thought of manually going through them for validation was just daunting. This saved me potentially weeks of work cleaning up expired bookmarks!
Thank you very much, Mr. Schuster! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14044626, 7 years agoIt does what it says, which is the most important thing, however if I could change one thing I would have a setting where you could slow down the rate it checks because some hosting sites like tumblr will trigger false positives due to their request limit.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13720335, 7 years agoIt doesn't seem to do anything. When you click on the icon it takes you to a page where the URLs should be, but no URLs are listed and it doesn't seem to be looking up my bookmarks.
FYI, I don't have any ad blockers installed.
It would be nice if there were instructions. Or at least a start button. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13955540, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by TECHSUS, 7 years agoWorks great! Efficiently deleted 20+ years' worth of old, expired bookmarks.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Pungh0Li0, 7 years agoWeird.... I deleted a few dozen bookmarks, then a couple days later they all showed up again as new bookmarks at the bottom of my main bookmark menu. Easy to delete from there but not very good behavior.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13699289, 7 years agoIs saving me a lot of time, easy to check the links before marking for deletion, then 1 click and all marked links are deleted. A good tool to use. Nice :-)

- Rated 4 out of 5by Jezze, 7 years agoReally useful and does what it's supposed to do. But it would be great if we could edit 404 bookmarks directly. Because sometimes only the part after the domain is outdated. (e.g. home.php has change to index.php).
- Rated 4 out of 5by cracksys, 7 years agoDo exactly what it supposed to do with no hassle.
My only nitpick is that there should be another button to untick all after you have clicked 'Select All' button. - Rated 5 out of 5by scottsan, 7 years agoThis bookmark add-on was exactly what I was looking for...thanks! An additional feature for a whitelist for bookmarks to be excluded from future scans would be appreciated.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Pierre-Adrien Buisson, 7 years agoThanks for this addon. It's really useful and saved me a lot of time. Maybe there's room to improve the way broken bookmarks are displayed (grouping them by state, better UI?), maybe there are potential complementary features that could be added (suggestion to update the bookmarks if a redirection is detected?)... but the addon does it job very well in its current state. Thanks!
