- Rated 5 out of 5by John, 2 hours agoTwitch chat works fine now, but sadly highlighted replies won't if you have ffz extension enabled too, if you experience the same issue just turn off ffz (there's 7tv audio compressor if you need one)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Lukas, 2 hours agoThe extension is great - way better than the old one. The UI is way cleaner, everything works and it feels more responsive. Dragging the new one down, because the old one got broken by Twitch and accusing the devs of fraudulent marketing tactics is literal nonsense and outrage for the purpose of outrage.

- Rated 5 out of 5by TMa, 3 hours agoJust made an acc to counter those stupid a*ses that can't even read and notice that twitch broke the extension not the other way around... Sorry for yall that you have to deal with this idiocracy.
- Rated 5 out of 5by xrandi, 3 hours agoThe negative ratings are unjustified, leaving this to counter all the 1 stars
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19943880, 4 hours agoPeople cry and write same exact reviews that its 7tv that did something to their own extension to remove chat box, instead of reading same answer by 7tv devs saying it's twitch update that broke it...
New extension looks better - Rated 5 out of 5by olaf, 4 hours agoIt seems the only reason most people are mad and leaving 1 star reviews is because a twitch update broke the old 7tv which is also currently being fixed. Personally I like this version much better. I have not found anything that I find worse yet.
- UI looks better
- I like seeing latency
- In the old version if I tabbed into a new stream the 7tv emotes for the old stream I had open would stop working. This has been fixed.
Great job :) - Rated 1 out of 5by Cwaniak, 5 hours agoCan't even import my old settings. I’ll wait until it gets fixed, because I can’t be bothered setting everything up from scratch.

posted 4 hours agoA way to import your old settings into this new extension is currently being worked on. - Rated 2 out of 5by axisq, 5 hours agoupdate is good, but why are you forcing people to switch by disabling chat...
Developer response
posted 5 hours agoHello, unfortunately the other extensions broke due to a Twitch update that caused the chat input to disappear. We've submitted a fix for them. We did not intentionally break things or disable the chat to make people switch. Sorry for the inconvenience. - Rated 1 out of 5by Daemon Dragon, 6 hours agoUnacceptable! Disabling the chat to force users into installing a "new" version is beyond me .. And I'm a developer.

posted 4 hours agoTwitch pushed an update that broke the other stable/nightly extensions. This was not done intentionally by us, we submitted a fix to the issue as soon as we could and are currently awaiting approval. Sorry for the inconvenience. - Rated 1 out of 5by Miaow Minx, 6 hours agoI started using it because they broke the excellent stable existing version, but dislike the interface changes, especially the lack of an option to use Light Mode and its failure to carry over my list of favorite emotes. I'll be switching to BTTV or FFZ until either this one is improved or the old one is fixed.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Phreeze, 7 hours agoWHY a new extension? fix the other one! thousands of people spamming the chat that they can't chat with the 7TV extension anymore, other thousands answering them.....

posted 4 hours agoThe other extensions are still being maintained, and we submitted a fix for the issue as soon as we could. We are sorry for the inconvenience. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 11803080, 8 hours ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Lulu, 8 hours agoI have never felt the need to write something like this, but the fact that I log in to a missing chat bar on stable branch - not just extension button missing but full bottom nav bar - shows clear malicious intent; It may be an okay update but its the perception of a rug-pull that can now happen at any moment which immediately has me moving to other alternatives.
If they're going to take away my ability to chat for their own extension at any time why not just use normal twitch chat at this point lmao; IN FACT, why not just mentally envision all the KEKWs, would give you more choice about which ones you see tbh.Developer response

- Rated 1 out of 5by FluffGirl, 10 hours agoforcing people to switch to this is stupid instead of just continuing to update the original and the fact its not compatible for me since im on waterfox and not firefox, it makes 7TV as a whole useless to me
Developer response
posted 4 hours agoA Twitch update broke the other stable/nightly extensions, we did not break it intentionally to force a switch. The other extensions will be continued to maintained, and a fix for the issues has been submitted. Support for Firefox derivates based on FF140 will be added. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18438430, 11 hours agoForcing everyone to switch to this new version by straight up removing the ability to chat with the old version is beyond predatory and absolutely unacceptable. I would rather never use 7TV again now that I know that the devs are willing to break its functionality in order to force its users onto new versions of the same service.

posted 4 hours agoThe other stable/nightly extensions broke due to an unannounced Twitch site update, not an action taken by our development team. We submitted a fix as soon as we could, and it is currently awaiting approval. - Rated 2 out of 5by AAA, 12 hours agoNot a very good update IMO
- Why a new app with no obvious update on the other page? Just meant my 7tv was broken for a day, and I didn't know why
- Whitespace is added to the end of the textbox whilst typing
- Tab to autocomplete emojis doesn't work
- New UI for no reason is just annoying
- Adding the latency below the stream is annoying and distracting - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17957806, 12 hours agoSince this update/release, it has completely broken the ability to delete your own messages as a head moderator. It also made the chat experience much worse by highlighting the highlight message redeem with purple background, and highlighting every mod message with a green outline. I will revise my review and rating if these issues are fixed.
Developer response
posted 4 hours agoAdding the ability to delete your own messages as a head mod is on the roadmap. You can disable the unusual highlight messages through Twitch their "Chat Highlights" setting from the Twitch settings menu under chat. - Rated 4 out of 5by Vandy, 12 hours agoSo far seems to fix the issue with scrolling up in chat and clicking the button to resume that caused the video player to bug out on the last version. Some things that do stick out is it seems highlight is not working at least for first messages. Also where is the font size slider.
Lastly the biggest issue im seeing is the emotes to load takes forever when going to the menu
