- Locally stored data
Your profile (name, contact details, CV, cover letter template, custom instructions, attachments) is stored in your browser via the extension's local storage and IndexedDB. This data is not transmitted until you initiate an action. - Data sent to the ApplyPilot server
- Account: email address and password (stored as a hash) or Google/GitHub ID if you sign in using those methods. A session token is stored in your browser.
- Usage: the type of action (evaluation, generation) and the date, in order to track your monthly usage.
- AI Generation: when you initiate an evaluation, document generation, or AI-assisted form filling, the job posting text and relevant profile details are sent to the server, which forwards them to the Ollama service to generate a response. ApplyPilot does not retain the content of these requests after the response is received.
- Payment: the Pro subscription is managed by Stripe. ApplyPilot does not receive or store your credit card details.
- Use of a personal Ollama server (Pro plan)
If you configure your own Ollama address and API key, requests are sent directly to that server, bypassing ApplyPilot. - What is not collected
No ad tracking, no browsing analytics, and no sale of data to third parties. - Third-party services
Ollama (text generation), Stripe (payment), Resend (password reset emails), Vercel and Neon (hosting and database), Google and GitHub (optional login). 6. Deletion
You can delete your account from the extension window. It is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after one month. You can clear local data by uninstalling the extension.
