- Rated 5 out of 5by Nat, 2 years agoWorks perfectly for my use. I like to have a livestream play on a tv across the room and on a dedicated soundbar while my main desktop is set to my desk speakers only.

- Rated 5 out of 5by MJ, 3 years agoWorks perfectly! After installation, open a new tab, enter about:config and press enter. If this is the first time you access such a configuration page, accept the warning. Then type media.setsinkid.enabled. If it's set to false, double-click on it to change it to true.
Then right click anywhere on a page with an audio playing and you will get the option to select audio output device. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13352012, 3 years agoThis is a very cool add on. Thank you. On my Laptop, i have an HDMI port. I can setup the HDMI port as a secondary display. I then display my IPTV stuff onto the HDMI which displays it on my TV, and then i can use this so that it will then play the audio of the video through the HDMI, leaving my Default Audio on my Laptop, so i can continue to use my laptop video/audio separately from the video/audio playing through HDMI to my Big Screen TV.
Example : My TV is showing news with video/audio and via my laptop im on web surfing on Sound cloud with the audio from sound cloud playing on my Laptop.
It basically frees up my laptop as if i wasn't using my laptop to display the audio/video on my TV. - Rated 5 out of 5by super_ryuzaki, 3 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by bubba, 3 years agoSick! The thing to remember is to change your desired output device volume first (for eg. if you want to route tab audio to your headphones, first select your main audio output device in Windows specifically to your headphones, and then set that volume to max or whatever).
Thanks 希実香. - Rated 5 out of 5by Peter Lyons Kehl, 3 years agoThank you.
For new users:
1. In addition to installing this, open a new tab, enter about:config and press enter. If this is the first time you access such a configuration page, accept the warning. Then type media.setsinkid.enabled. If it's set to false, double-click on it to change it to true.
2. This works for some websites only. How do you tell?
If you right-click (at any blank part of the page), choose "View Page Source". Then press Ctrl+F (or menu > Edit > Find in Page) and search first for - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16698967, 3 years agoThank you for writing this extension. I use TV speaker only for youtube videos and very happy with this. :) If I could hope something, I would like to choose output device from menu instead of dialog window.

posted 4 years agoFirefox 9X has changed the behavior of the method used in this add-on.
The add-on was updated to use the new method provided by Firefox 92.
If you're using latest Firefox (92 or newer) it might work well after the update.
Also, we no longer need microphone permission to fetch the audio devices.
Please notice that the select button is now in the context menu (right click). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16861627, 4 years agoI love this extension, because I'm a streamer and I need to transmit sound to a specific channel.

Note to all of those who say it doesn't work: Allow Microphone usage, then it will work with YouTube, etc. - Rated 5 out of 5by HugoPango, 5 years ago
