04-06-2025 - Rated 1 out of 5by Droidsareut, a month agoIt does not work on youtube or twitch at all. It's just grayed out in the extension menu and gives no clarification as to why it isn't working.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Shiro, 5 months agoStopped working suddenly as many others said.. Very frustrating. I found out that if you have "Ghostery" enabled in your Firefox - Betterttv extension doesnt work. If i disable ghostery its suddenly working. Dev please, can you fix this clash?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Sudisk, 5 months agoI confirm the extension stopped working after updating Firefox yesterday. The extension always appears disabled on the toolbar even though it is checked as active on the extensions pane.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12825085, 5 months agoStopped working in Firefox, which is my preferred browser. Developer claims they see no issues on their end. I think they need to re-check it. Emotes are NOT working AT ALL. And, yes, I have re-checked my own settings to make sure configuration is correct. As of 2/2/2025, this add-on is still not working. I can't access emotes at all.

posted 5 months agoThanks for the review. We're not seeing any issues from our side, so it could be a configuration issue. Have you checked your BetterTTV settings to make sure you've set it up as desired? Otherwise please reach out and we'd be happy to help diagnose this with you. - Rated 1 out of 5by Squidderf, 9 months ago

posted a year agoThanks for the review. While it's certainly possible BetterTTV could increase CPU utilization on a browser tab from emotes rendering in chat, in our experience the increase is nominal for most streams. If you're still having this issue, I'd recommend reaching out to our team so we can help find the actual cause.- Rated 1 out of 5by dumbinfp, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16529660, a year agoBreaks the viewer count mod from FFZ, breaks the stream delay viewer from FFZ, and pauses all streams when you first click on it regardless of active settings. All without any visible settings that might be causing compatibility issues.
Developer response
posted a year agoThanks for the review. BetterTTV actually isn't causing these issues, and BetterTTV doesn't generally affect other extensions. Twitch has recently been rolling out a new site updated with React 18, which many extensions are not initially compatible with. BetterTTV supports this as of 7.5.16, but you will need to reach out to other extension support teams for any bugs you encounter in their extensions as a result of these ongoing Twitch updates. posted a year agoThanks for the feedback. It isn't clear from your review what specifically was not working. If you are referring to certain emotes not showing up in chat, then be sure to enable all emote providers in the BetterTTV Settings.- Rated 1 out of 5by Wade the Wilson, a year agoI installed it and it never once worked. Not sure why... I gave up a few days later.

posted a year agoThanks for the feedback. It isn't clear from your review what specifically was not working, but it is unlikely that the extension "never once worked." If you are referring to certain emotes not showing up in chat, then be sure to enable all emote providers in the BetterTTV Settings. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18248992, a year ago

Developer response
posted a year agoThanks for the review. This is still a setting under the Auto Play setting on the Channel settings tab. If you're having trouble finding it, search for "Auto Play" in the BetterTTV Settings menu. - Rated 1 out of 5by SzymonL, 2 years ago
