- Rated 5 out of 5by Murks, 7 years agoDoes anyone at Mozilla really WORK with Firefox bookmarks and use more than 10.000 bookmarks ?
How do you find the folder of a result URL after searching ?
How do you jump to the folder of a result URL after searching ?
Now that Go Parent Folder and Show Parent Folder (alice0775) are omitted, for power users Firefox is almost as useless as Chrome.
Concerning the ancient bookmark user interface, why should anyone use Firefox instead of Chrome ?
Sorry for being off topic, should not explain colors to the blind. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13268649, 7 years agoI uninstalled this in 2017 because it didn't work as expected. Following the developer's suggestion I've tried it again today and it appears to be fixed. It's found over a thousand errors and two-hundred and thirty broken links, and it's fixed them all in a flash. I'm happy to change my review to five stars for an excellent add-on.

posted a year agoI don't understand your review at all. The add-on does what it promises, and of course you can delete broken bookmarks. Can you please test again with a current version and re-review? Thanks!- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13472474, 7 years agoThe duplicate option freezes and doesn't work well

Glad that it has the ability to delete the duplicate bookmarks right there within the add-on itself. The broken bookmark feature sometimes churns and churns and doesn't seem to finish, but that could be something on my end. Nice add-on.
- Rated 5 out of 5by rmbg, 7 years agoReally nice addon. Works perfectly with the latest firefox. The only problem I think it has is that when searching the wrong bookmarks, sometimes it takes a while if there are a lot of mistakes of the bookmarks, and the screen doesn't show any results while it's working in progress. I think it would be better to display the list of found mistakes while it's still working. And adding a pause function would save those who don't want to wait. But anyway a good addon!
- Rated 2 out of 5by berthoms, 7 years agoThis add-on will only help you to find duplicates or broken bookmarks...
In any way IT WILL NOT help you to fix them! (e.g. you'll know that you have 10.000 duplicates and NO WAY to fix them !
As you may think when a buggy software makes duplicates, it can easily fullfill the whole space it gets in a few seconds. So, getting huge lots of wrong bookmarks is not a thing you did by hand, but it occurs... And knowing it has already occured with no tool to fix it, is a very poor help.
So, using an extension to tell me something is wrong, while I knew it yet, and would not have installed this plugin if I didn't know it, doesn't deserve a great valuation.
Go on further and provide a fix for the errors you detect, and I'll change my mind!Developer response
posted a year agoI don't know if it was a missing feature at that time but in a current version you can edit and delete duplicates. Could you please test again? - Rated 2 out of 5by Punkytales, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13440250, 7 years agoWhere have you been all this time?
My bookmarks grows rapidly -and wildly- until reach around 1.500 bookmarks since I was in college
now, whenever I want to re-organize this, verify each one of them, dammm, I am sooo lazy just to see the number of my bookmarks.
With this add-on,
my laziness got satisfied even more. just a few click, then maybe yearly task already been done in just a few minutes. fiuh. thanx a lot
a little improvement by the time I write this review,
https://anti-theft.kaspersky.com/ = is still correct. yet, your result = https://hq.uis.kaspersky.com/ErrorPages/404.htm? - Rated 4 out of 5by Fobos, 7 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12137179, 7 years agoIts really great and has the potential to solve my problem, however is is quite difficult to use when you have a massive amount of bookmarks (1000+). For example, when looking at all the broken bookmarks i wish there was a way to collapse folders or only scan specific folders for errors. The biggest thing is that I wash there was a select all box, or boxes next to all the bookmarks so you could select multiple bookmarks so you can fix a bunch all at once instead of selecting to fix the url of each bookmark 1 at a time. (for whatever reason a bunch of the bookmarks have changed from http to https so firefox doesn't recognize them any more). Also the developer seems to be telling everyone not to leave reviews for recommendations and instead to just leave those on his website. But I would prefer not to do that because then I would have to make a whole new account for that site. Sorry.

That's not true at all. - Rated 5 out of 5by VividGirl69, 7 years agoIt helped me out a few times. Sometimes I forget to log out of my one account, and when I realise Firefox / Google have already synced my Bookmarks & Extentions , leaving 100's of duplicate bookmarks everywhere. - Unorganized. This Extention sorts out the mess. Just be patient ... If you have more than a 1000 bookmarks, it takes a while.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Veltaine, 7 years agoThis is a fantastic option for those that have amassed a huge amount of bookmarks over the years and just want a simple script to help clear up the broken links or verify what addresses need to be updated. However it doesn't allow me to reorganize where my bookmarks are, which I assumed would be an option with the name of the program. I'll be using this again though as it's still a very good option!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12312529, 7 years agoI appreciate the effort to develop the extension but to be honest the interface is ugly and impractical. Regarding results I have found that out of some 3000 links the extension did find some 10% as broken. Testing the "broken" links I have found that most of them rendered the pages just fine.
Extension deleted.Developer response
posted 7 years agoSorry, it's okay if you don't like the interface but it's not okay to say "it's ugly", there are enogh other users liking the interface. Also I can't confirm that only 10 percent of the found broken bookmarks are really bookmarks. And most important: There is NO issue reported by you. You give a bad review without contacting the developer to give him the possibility to react. That's really not okay. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13406365, 7 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13368957, 7 years agoIts pretty useful, but my main issue is that there is no option to remove bookmark duplicates, en masse, leaving behind the first bookmark found, a la bookmark deduplicator. Its a real pain to be hunting down hundreds of possible duplicates one by one. If that feature could be implemented then you found yourself a permanent user!

- Rated 4 out of 5by dfwdraco76, 7 years agoSeems to work well, but I have some feedback:
1) Details about the error or warning would be great to include in the results. As it is I'm having to right-click each URL and open in a new tab to see what's going on.
2) Would it be possible to add an option users could enable if they so choose to update favicons at the same time?Developer response
posted a year agoThank you for your review and feedback!
1) Yeah, that would be nice, but it's not always that easy as the responses are often wrong from the technical perspective.
2) This would be nice as well but it's not easy to solve in a privacy respecting way. It would be great if Mozilla would offer some kind of favicon API.
