- Rated 4 out of 5by narinciye, a year agoThanks for the best of existing regex search tools. Crashes on some huge sites (e.g. www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/make.html)
- Rated 4 out of 5by dza, a year agoUnfortunately it adds a keyword "find %s" without toggle to the address bar. Kind of annoying, please add options.
- Rated 4 out of 5by PeaceByJesus.net, 2 years agoA welcome addition to the deficient default find in page function, however, while I choose to highlight all occurrences of a search word (I read the wrench icon page) which can help, yet the search box disappears from view once you click in the page or a word to copy one instance of it.
Nor does it stay in view across tabs, which is an option that many users have requested of Firefox.
Otherwise, if you want to search again for the same word in the page (after clicking on the page ow word) rather than looking for highlights, or you want to search for the same word on another tab then you need to click the icon again.
Using F3 invokes the FF default find in page, which inconsistently sometimes remains in view, if not always keeping the same last search term. A bug has been filed.
All these years and many of us are still waiting for a true replacement of the old FindBar Tweak, though it did not allow Regex.
Note that I have hundreds of tabs open and do much research, and use a desktop, thus not being an average user.
Thank God for such developers as you who help us, Thanks. - Rated 4 out of 5by Torstein Krause Johansen, 3 years agoThanks for making this add-on. This extension deserves a larger audience, has there been any attempt/interest in getting this into the builtin Ctrl+f search?

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 10400991, 6 years agoPlease add focus to search panel by call. Also it would be great to start find+ as default search.
- Rated 4 out of 5by john, 6 years agoUsed it a couple of times so far. Does what you expect, type the regex and it highlights the matches on the page, pressing Enter repeatedly jumps to each successive match.
It would be nice after pressing Ctrl-Shift-F to have focus go to the search box. Like that Ctrl-Shift-F is a toggle which returns focus to where you were.
Love being able to use regular expressions in on page searches. Needs a few more usability things as mentioned in this and other review to get 5 stars (at least from me). Good job. Thanks! - Rated 4 out of 5by Quantum Debacle, 7 years agoPlease keep in mind this addon wont work rightaway, on your existing windows, when installed. Either restart the browser, open a new window or close and reopen your existing windows.
That tricked me to believe it didn't work at all.
I'm also missing a hotkey.
