by lestat, 8 years agoUPDATE: Just learned that Firefox is not a supported browser for this extension, yet it is available and with 4,758 users, they should probably pull it or communicate that on their addon page... When opening the link: https://www.capitalone.com/applications/eno/virtualnumbers/
I get the following popup:
Browser Not Supported
Eno℠ is currently only available in Google Chrome. Please visit our site from Google Chrome to install Eno℠
* I added the extension to Chrome and all works as it should....
-----------------
I got off to a great start with this add-on also using a Google Voice number (which I use for all of my accounts with no issues), I used it for over a week or two then suddenly it stopped working...
Now when I sign in, all I get is the following 'cute' non informational response! Also the feedback option on it is dead, opens a webpage in a new tab without the ability to provide feedback.
No way to figure out if the service is legitimately down or experiencing issues either.
If it is a GV issue, they should plainly provide that feedback. I am UNABLE to continue using it until the issue is resolved.
If it ever starts working again I will up the stars as it is a brilliant idea, too bad they don't just incorporate VC use/management on their website.
-----
Eno response after trying to sign in:
'Something went wrong
What, exactly? Well, that's what my team is busy figuring out. Please try again later.'

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14739295, 7 months agoWhen Eno works, it's great. Eno doesn't work on every website, e.g. Home Depot. In these cases, you can generate a virtual number on the Cap One website then paste it in to the merchant site.

- Rated 5 out of 5by iceui2, 9 months agothis is not perfect by any means, but no other credit card provider offers this service of being able to use a new virtual card for each merchant. So I'm giving this 5 stars.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Michael Sheldon, a year agoUsed to work, gradually became less and less reliable. works almost never now. Frequently stalls on login, retrieving card, etc. Will offer up a card for certain sites, then reject the transaction for being the wrong site. Finally just uninstalled it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19101397, a year agoDoes not work. Asks for my phone number then spams the console with unhandled exceptions while it loads indefinitely

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19016345, a year agoThis app is janky, and considering how much $$$ CapitalOne has at it's disposal, there no good excuse. It freezes up with every use. You need to keep signing into your Capital One account. And it doesn't auto-populate the newly created card into the online shop. You need to copy and paste it all manually from the CapitalOne website. It has not been updated for A WHOLE YEAR, so who knows if it's secure.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Luke, a year agoNever loads when you need it to. Just sits there saying it's trying to log in or trying to create a card. All I want to do is check out quickly, but I have to close firefox and reload everything in Chrome instead.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18024006, a year agoThis would be great if it worked more consistently. But I have to delete the Capital One cookies and restart my browser before using it all the time.
