Inadequate documentation, blocks certain sites with no indication why?
Have to be an html programmer to understand most of the settings.
6-12-24: Still seriously lacking documentation. You have to be an html/script programmer to use it effectively. Very obtuse, no examples given of how to use it. Probably just makes your ID MORE obvious rather than less obvious.
12-17-22: You need a test site to see if the settings you make on Chameleon can be identified as fake. If they can using this addon is a BAD idea since the sites will know you're lying and you can be blocked on that basis. Needs more documentation to explain which settings to use and which will block sites. Most who use this are not programmers and therefore more documentation/explaination is needed. In my experience it works on some sites and not on others. I'd bet money that Fbook will block and or delete your profile is u use this addon.
so far the only add-on I have seen that CLAIMS to do what it does. Problem is there is no way to verify the site your connecting to does not see your spoof settings are PHONEY and there is nothing in their documentation to help you decide what you can get away with.'
Has gotten worse over time. Interferes with vpn proxy alerts. You have to close those to open settings on chameleon. Slow to load, sometimes won't and you have to restart browser. Conflicts with hoxx proxy or any proxy that tries to give small right and bottom alerts. program cannot then open settings until you close the proxy alerts. Otherwise good. Good documentation. Still need more documentation and tutorials as sites are getting pretty sophisticated in blocking/profiling browsers and detecting chameleon settings.

- Rated 5 out of 5by nothairy, a month agoIt's pretty great, does what it says it does, tested it with am i unique, and it helped quite a bit. Only issue is that when you change your screen size through the extension, some websites may or may not break. but that's just normal, i suppose.

- Rated 2 out of 5by What???, 7 months agoOnly two stars because websites can still detect your true OS which can defeat the purpose if you are spoofing to a Linux browser. Otherwise, it's GUI is nice.
- Rated 5 out of 5by jcfyre, 9 months agoWorks excellently on Android. Many more settings than other user agent spoofer add-ons.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tetranymous, 10 months agoI use this as a user-agent switcher (manually select a single chrome version, turn off and on as needed) since all the other user-agent switchers I tried didn't work for me. Chameleon works flawlessly! :)

I really recommend this module to spoof your browser. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17760368, a year ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 5995088, a year agoHey man I absolutely appreciate what you're doing, great add-on!
But could you please remove IE11 from the standard spoofing options? I mean, deactivating it is easy but nobody uses it anymore and almost every site I visit with this particular spoof doesn't work and tells me to update my browser. You could still keep the user agent but make it optional, not included in the default settings. - Rated 5 out of 5by Unn Yah, a year ago
