Privacy policy for Color Code Picker
Color Code Picker by Ehtesham Ahmad
Color Code Picker works entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no user accounts, and it never sends anything over the network.
Screenshots: Only when you click the extension's icon or press its keyboard shortcut, the extension takes a screenshot of the visible part of the current tab to read the exact color of the pixel under the magnifier. This screenshot is kept in memory only while you are picking and is discarded afterwards. It is never saved to disk and never leaves your computer.
Color history: The last six colors you picked are saved in your browser's local extension storage. They stay on your device, are not synced, and can be removed at any time with the "Clear" button or by removing the extension.
PDF viewer: PDF files you open are shown in a PDF viewer built into the extension (Mozilla's pdf.js) so colors can be picked from them. The viewer loads the PDF directly from the website, the same way Firefox's own viewer does. The extension does not read, store or send the contents of any web page or file anywhere.
