- Rated 5 out of 5by Francis Gernet, 3 years agoThe kind of function that should be part of the Firefox core, because how to manage a dozen windows without FireTitle?
Indispensable and very useful despite some limitations.
Unfortunately for me, I discovered it late. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14995496, 4 years agoFireTitle *makes* it so much easier to juggle different projects in Firefox. Each set of tabs is in a separate named window. It works like magic.

- Rated 5 out of 5by btgrant, 5 years agoI like to organize my tabs/windows around specific tasks, and FireTitle is a great solution. Thank you!
- Rated 5 out of 5by roy_scorpio, 5 years ago可以自定义Windows任务栏标题,非常好用!
It can change the title text on windows task bar. Very Good! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13461883, 5 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13577921, 5 years agoExcellent add-on, couldn't live with it! On windows set the 'combine' option on the taskbar to 'never' so you can always see the window title, this means you can directly open your named window at any time.
Shame it's limited by the web extension support but it still works really well overall. - Rated 5 out of 5by dapgo, 6 years agoA must have for techies, I don't miss anymore the legacy/XUL extension (Customize titlebar)
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15219656, 6 years agoFor me, this plugin is a must have! In the windows taskbar, disable grouping and show app titles and you can instantly go to the window you need. 👌
It's a shame firefox limits it from being as good as it could be, but the devs have done a good job getting as much as possible working from the original version. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13490805, 6 years agoAbsolutely perfect. My 20+ windows each with 1 to 70 tabs reopen smoothly after any sleep or crash. Wonder why Mozilla call it "obsolete'. Please don't kill this useful app !
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14740535, 6 years agoPerfect addon for renaming opened window.
After restart, naming is preserved.
Please add ability to edit keyboard shortcut. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14613686, 6 years agoAbsolutely perfect. My 20+ windows each organized by what they are for: "mail", "calendar", "research topic abc". I can rely on the name of windows thanks to this plugin!! I can find the windows through my window manager search quickly by typing a name.

Just one thing: it does not show the title on new tabs - there only the default title "Mozilla Firefox" is shown. Can you improve this? - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13719618, 6 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by piecevcake, 7 years agoGOOD crap!! Indispensible when running/comparing multiple profiles, identifies the profiles as well as each window in them, and the loaded tabs number is VERY useful.
No problems with FF restart or session restore. All window names are retained.
1. the "window's name" was a mystery until I figured out you set it in each window by clicking the toolbar button.
2. would be nice if could put items after the tab name
3. would be useful to be able to align the title left.
4. title doesnt show if new tab or a local file is active (but appears if local file tab is renamed, and does show for moz pages! New tabs still a year later stuff up most addons, FF Devs should borrow your title for their work)
5. *users need to select "show the titlebar" in FF customise options
Thanks and keep up the great work. :-) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13270182, 7 years agoSo far so good, but it has only been half a day so far. If you could change the Mac shortcut to something that doens't trigger Preferences, it would be perfect!
- Rated 5 out of 5by zakius, 7 years agoI hope that mozilla will see how much pain they are causing by their artificial limitations and admit the shutdown was rushed

- Rated 5 out of 5by Tom Davey, 8 years agoThank you for porting FireTitle to the Web Extension API. I keep multiple windows (and even profiles) open simultaneously. FireTitle is indispensable for keeping them logically organized and easy to find.
I hope the Web Extension API will improve so that you can make FireTitle even better. Thanks again! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13401446, 8 years agoCant express how grateful I am for this add-on. I have left chrome just because we have this add-on in firefox. Many thanks.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Lawrence Dol, 8 years agoI really don't understand the author branding the WebExtension replacement as "crappy". It does exactly what I need, which is to prefix the window title with a short string that identifies which of the several profiles that the window is for.
Now my web browsing Firefox says "Web ...", while my documentation windows say "Doc ..." and my banking windows say "Bank ...".
