- Rated 3 out of 5by D.Millings, 6 years agoReally want to give this a 5-star but it's been a year since the last update and the promised "This feature is currerntly under construction and is not available for public use" has not materialized, and this is a crucial usage feature.
Other than that, it's a great addon. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14734452, 6 years agogets the job done, and seems to break the least amount of websites out of all its competition, at least for me.
i just wish there were more features, some kind of per site settings would be nice, or at least a blacklist
also, you cant whitelist any single url of a website (i dont know how to word this well. for example, you can whitelist reddit.com, but you cant whitelist reddit.com/r/all), which is a pretty huge let down. still probably the best on the market tho - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14696163, 6 years agoPretty decent works on most of the sites I visit. It does not work for amazon though. Which was one of the reasons I was looking for a dark mode extension.

It's a nice little add-on and it does help reduce the strain on your eyes when looking at a screen in the dark. I gave this add-on only two stars because I don't really like how it handles text, which is often shown in shades of blue; this creates some problems:
- it makes the text less legible due to the low contrast with the background
- it makes different typefaces and fonts less easily discernible
- it kinda defeats the purpose of a blue light filter
That being said, this add-on has not caused me significant technical problems (e.g. slow loading of pages, crashes, ungodly use of CPU) so thumbs up in that regard! - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14583133, 6 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13884462, 6 years agoIt does as advertised, is a lot more sleek, consistent, and easy to use compared to other universal dark themes, but in my experience it absolutely hogs resources and makes firefox unstable.
- Rated 3 out of 5by cantheix, 6 years agoGood but it has some bug, for e.g. WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger incoming text not shown when mode is enabled.

Fix this, please!
;( - Rated 3 out of 5by Andre Bell, 6 years agoAfter first install, initially all sites loaded as solid black background only. No content. Uninstalled and reinstalled the extension and now all pages load fine, though slower than the pages loaded without the extension loaded. My guess is the forced Windows 10 update running in the background is causing the bandwidth lag. Will know once all updates are complete.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13444307, 7 years agoDoes not work well with Education websites (e.g. Udemy, coursea etc) . Concept is good but when it comes to multiple frames, it struggles a bit.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14319262, 7 years agoI would welcome CSS editor to edit specific settings, ideally on specific websites. Doesn't mean it's broken on that website, but it may be something small that I don't like for example. After that, nothing wrong with this extension!

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14184092, 7 years agoSeems to work just fine on most places, on YT it shits its pants when you open a video, the edges are still white and annoying AF, when browsing its ok. No damn theme seems to work for me on yt since the damn update
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13411687, 7 years agoFor the most part, I have enjoyed this add-on, but there are times when there are major readability issues. I've noticed on several websites that text in textboxes is a shade of blue that's nearly impossible to read on the black background, and I have to highlight the text to read it. Reduces the usability of it significantly for me. Still, it's better than white pages.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13992887, 7 years agoDoes its job reasonably well, but currently it is extremely cpu intensive to the degree that it renders some sites completely unusable or even time out during page loading. Firefox regularly displays a warning about the night mode js and asks to disable it as it thinks it's hung.
