HOW TO ACTIVATE DIMX

DimX only recolors a site that is already in its own dark theme. It changes that dark theme to Dim navy (#15202B). If a site is in light mode, DimX leaves it alone by design. No account or sign-in is needed.

Install DimX.
Reload every X, X Pro, Grok, or Reddit tab that was already open before you installed DimX. New tabs work right away.
Switch each site you want dimmed to its dark theme:
Easiest: set your browser or operating system to dark mode. Signed-out X, Grok, and Reddit follow this setting, and Grok follows it when its theme is on auto.
Firefox: Settings > Appearance > Website appearance > Dark.
Windows: Settings > Personalization > Colors > Choose your mode > Dark. macOS: System Settings > Appearance > Dark.
Grok: click the gear icon at the top right, then click the moon icon.
X and X Pro (signed in): More > Settings and privacy > Accessibility, display, and languages > Display > Background > Lights out.
Reddit: set Display Mode to Dark, or leave it on Auto (the default) and use the browser or system setting above.
Open or reload the site. The black or dark gray background is now Dim navy.
Click the DimX icon in the toolbar to see one toggle per site. All toggles are on by default. Turn a toggle off to restore that site's original dark colors, or on to bring back navy. Changes apply right away, with no reload.

If a site still looks light, it is in light mode. Switch it to dark using step 3.
