- Rated 5 out of 5by ArcticViper, 8 years agoCompared to Ghostery it's much better, it blocks trackers automatically, doesn't have a big impact on Performance, Easy GUI, Just plan easy to use. :)

dom.storage.enabled is True.
dom.storagemanager.enabled is false.
I will NOT allow cookies as my default position on CookieMonster - no way.
I even tried UNinstalling AdBlockPlus before installing Disconnect but does not help.
Please fix.
I have left Disconnect UNinstalled for now.Developer response

We have had reports of some odd issues with the extension not displaying properly, and our team is digging into what could be causing this trouble for the users who see it so we can make sure everyone is able to use our extension. - Rated 2 out of 5by grahamperrin, 8 years agoI used Disconnect (alongside Privacy Badger) for a few weeks.
Too many parts of the GUI are ambiguous so today I disabled the extension.Developer response

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13216454, 8 years agoThis add-on is very useful for privacy. It's open-source and easy-to-use.
That said, it doesn't function at all if Firefox is set not to store any cookies or DOM storage (please fix!); it simply displays an inactive puzzle piece. Also, it could be improved with a 'block everything by default' option for those who want to do so.
Other than that, it's a wonderful add-on that is well-worth installing.Developer response
posted 8 years agoThank you for taking the time to share your feedback on this. We are looking into how we can alter the extension to work correctly without needing these settings. We're also looking to add the option for users to universally block Content, understanding that this may cause some websites not to load properly. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13138495, 8 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12336752, 8 years agoThe issues in the new version of add ons is caused by cookies permissions.
If you use a cookie controller (for example cookie monster) put allow cookies as default action.
If you do that the new version works perfectly
