About this extension
Keep a note for an entire website domain. Domain Notes adds a small, movable note button on sites you choose.
Features:
- Automatic saving and rich-text formatting: bold, italic, underline, bullets, colors, fonts, and sizes.
- English, Hebrew, and Arabic interfaces, with automatic, left-to-right, and right-to-left writing direction.
- Light/Dark themes, accent colors, movable and resizable panels, and per-site visibility controls.
- A separate note manager with search, editing, deletion, and local JSON backup and restore.
Website access is optional. Enable one domain and its subdomains, or explicitly enable all normal HTTP/HTTPS websites. Firefox asks before granting access. Restricted Firefox pages are unavailable. This release supports desktop Firefox 142 or newer.
Notes and preferences stay in Firefox local extension storage. There are no add-on accounts, cloud services, analytics, telemetry, remote code, or background network requests. Opening a link in a note navigates to that website normally.
Notes and exported backups are not encrypted by Domain Notes. Protect your device and exported files. Private Browsing is disabled. The editor is isolated from the webpage, but a hostile page can cover or imitate the floating UI; use the separate note manager on untrusted pages.
