What data the add-on processes

• The add-on runs on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com, claude.ai, gemini.google.com, copilot.microsoft.com and copilot.com. It intercepts the text and files you enter in the chat and passes them over the browser's local connection to the Do Not Feed AI program installed on your computer. The program replaces detected data with placeholders, and the add-on inserts the placeholders into the page and restores the real values in the answer shown on your screen.
• The add-on and the program do not send your data to us or to any third party. We have no server, accounts, analytics or telemetry. The chat provider receives text with placeholders instead of the detected data: this is ordinary communication between your browser and that service.
• Add-on settings (such as which data types to mask, your own phrases) are stored locally in the browser. The placeholder map lives in the program on your computer, separately for each tab, and is deleted when the tab is closed.
• The only connection the add-on makes to our website: after you click "check for updates" it fetches https://donotfeedai.com/updates.json (no identifiers and no version number in the address). Our web server then records your IP address in its standard logs, like any web server.
