- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13593990, 5 years agoIs there any way to use renaming masks in the folder name?????
We'd be getting up to 5star territory if you could.
Anyway it seems like certain inputs will stop downloads from starting. For instance input containing forward slashes will not download a thing, which makes me wonder why the noFolder filter even exists. If it's required (at least on Windows), shouldn't it automatically be applied? - Rated 3 out of 5by Mozzied , 6 years agoIt used to work with Tor browser, but the update to 8.5.4 broke the add-on. It does work properly with my VPN, however.
The issue with Tor is that it never downloads all selected files in all tabs and the number of successful scrapes is random. - Rated 3 out of 5by Ziel, 6 years agoRight now, I still use DownThemAll with WaterFox 56, I know that DTA is dead it's impossible to make a new one with all the option in DTA, Download star work, so maybe I can let dta rest in peace.
but I gave only 3 stars because, maybe I'm doing this wrong but I can't use the "fast filter" option, it let me use a single extension, so if a want to download all the gif and png from a page, but not the jpg, jpeg, or bmp and download the webm but not the mp4, I can't use the build-in filter but I have to make a different download for every extension that I want.
How can I use multiple extension in the Fast Filter?
it's possible to make a batch download?
if I can't figure out how to use the fast filter with multiple extension, I think I will keep using DTA. but, isn't a bad add-on. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14465810, 6 years agoI really like the idea of moving DownThemAll to a new future. However one of the features is missing and it is important to me - DownThemAll offered integration with normal downloads as well as qucik ability do download to different locations. It would push this to 5 start and must have category :)

- Rated 3 out of 5by ChrisW, 7 years agoThis add-on does what it says and works fine with the limited features it implemented. It works etter than some other add-ons which were advertised as a replacement for DownThemAll. - A more useful way of selecting a download-folder with a 'Save As' dialog could make this extension better. Also the built-in downloader of FF is quite limited, as you cannot cancel a list of pending downloads.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13645153, 7 years agoTried your "Download Star" v1.0.1, on Windows 10, in Firefox (FF) v57.0.4 with ABP, NoScript, etc.
it could not download Files, even after selecting a file from shown list of files on extension's pop-down dialog box !
EDIT: when FF was restarted once, then downloading began to work.
Please add option/feature to EDIT the URL. Currently there is no option to edit the URL.
Some websites do support HTTPS based file download, but they show HTTP based download url on their HTTPS based site !
And, some websites (for example: "www.example.com") show/share their downloadable files (for example: "http://sourceforge.com/projects/ProjName/filename", "http://download.example.com/filename", ...) as HTTP url, located on another/3rd-party(3P)/subdomain based website(s). And those 3P-websites/subdomains may actually support HTTPS based encrypted connection for securely downloading files, (for example: "https://sourceforge.com/projects/ProjName/filename", "https://download.example.com/filename", ...).
So in those/such case(s), we NEED TO EDIT/CHANGE THE (HTTP) URL by little bit into (HTTPS based url).
Please also make sure this works : when a website's subdomain (for example: "https://download.example.com", "https://cdn.example.com", ...) based webpage is actually using a multi-domain SSL-cert or wildcard SSL-cert or it's primary-domain's (www.example.com) SSL-cert, then such SSL-cert needs to be accepted/approved by user, for encrypted file download from that subdomain.
Some websites using self-signed SSL-cert based (or DNSSEC-signed TLSA/DANE based) file download, and these type of file downloading need to be supported as well.
Please also set the downloaded file's (creation+MODIFIED) DATE to same-date as it is in download/source website's server, Or please show an option for selecting that function. Currently its not saving the source server's correct file modified-date.
Thanks in advance. - Rated 3 out of 5by Lrdwhyt, 7 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Nova6K0, 8 years agoIt is good, but to download images is not worth, since only download the thumbnails, unless the image is on the server itself. If the images are in an external hosting does not work (not in vain the only complement I know that does this is ImageHost Grabber that will not be ported to Webextensions)
Greetings. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13043498, 8 years agoYes, it seems, that this add on help to filter web pages.
The most used feature in DownThemall for me, is to load all links from all tabs in a firefox.
It will be perfect, when this feature can be implemented !
