GOING BACK TO FIREFOX'S NEW TAB
You can switch back to Firefox's own new tab page at any time:
• To pause it: open Add-ons and Themes (Ctrl+Shift+A, or Cmd+Shift+A on a Mac) and turn off the switch next to Duo New Tab. Your home screen, notes and settings are kept, and turning it back on brings everything back.
• To remove it: in Add-ons and Themes, click ⋯ next to Duo New Tab and choose Remove.
• Removing the add-on also deletes everything it stored. To keep your notes, reminders and layout, use Export Backup first (Settings › General › Transfer or Reset Duo New Tab); you can import that file again later.
Firefox's own new tab page comes back as soon as the add-on is turned off or removed. No other settings need to be changed.
PRIVACY
Duo New Tab has no account, no analytics and no ads, and its developer receives no data from it. Your shortcuts, widgets, notes, reminders and settings are stored on your computer only. A few features use online services: App Store icon lookups (Apple), site icons (Google's favicon service and the site itself), and the Weather widget (Open-Meteo for the forecast, BigDataCloud to name your location). Each can be turned off in Settings. Full details are in the privacy policy.
Duo New Tab is an independent project inspired by iOS and the iPhone Duo concept. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Apple Inc. iPhone, iPad and iOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other app icons and names belong to their respective owners.

Coming from Chrome or Edge? Use Settings › General › Export Backup there, then Import Backup here: your pages, widgets, notes and reminders come with you.
Firefox does not let add-ons read the battery level, so the Batteries widget is not available in Firefox.
