I just saved a funeral video of someone I knew because sometimes churches don't keep them up very long and I might like to see parts of the funeral again.
This app is super easy to use and explains the process well. The developer is also very open about issues and limitations of the app, which has to be adjusted to fit with YouTube. I see many 1-star ratings, some of which complain that the "Download" button is missing. This was a temporary issue from YouTube making a code change. The download button is back. All this and more information is available on the app page, where the developer puts updates and alerts. Through all of this issue, the developer has been sharing updates and instructions for workarounds.
Another aspect of this app people have seen has been that the highest-quality downloads are no longer available for free subscribers. The developer has explained that they have to use their own servers to get those downloads to work (you can get the technical info from the app site), which costs money, so they have set up a premium membership that provides those high-quality downloads such as full HD. The developer suggests $30 as a donation, but there's a slider you can use to change the amount if you want. I was thinking about getting premium when I get a new computer with more space and less problems downloading large files!
I'm really happy having a bunch of downloads that I can watch anywhere without internet glitches (my internet sucks). I can take a laptop and show my elderly mom a play without the buffering circle. I can easily download my granddaughter's only high school choir solo and her pandemic graduation videos. The process is smooth and easy.
