There was a time when this downloader was the best of the best. That sadly is no longer the case. The developer was hawking a paid downloader but as I understand it it doesn't or hasn't worked for awhile. As for the recent most 5 star reviews singing its praises, I'm skeptical if they're genuine...
I know the developer has put a-lot of effort into this add-on, and I wish I could give it a 5 star rating but in its present state I can...
Let me be clear that I'm talking about the add-on version NOT the paid version. I only speak of the paid version based on the experience those that have bought it have had, several of who are longtime friends of mine...
If the developer fixes the free version and it works, then I'll change my review accordingly...
As of this date 01/25/2026 none of the other YouTube down-loaders appear to be working either...
It seems YouTube has gone full on nuclear to break these down-loaders...
Someone will come along with one they can't break. It's only a matter of when...

Stopped working a while ago. Generates two files, each with 0 bytes.

acts like it's downloading show progress percentage all the way to 100% but when go to file it won't play and shows 0 bites for size and always downloads same file twice

Used to work, but not any more. Quicktime Player has no idea how to open these zero byte files...so...

I love the way it installs three 0 byte, entirely unusable files to my computer when I press the button once

Used to work, as of Jan 23rd, claims to work but "successfully" downloads zero byte files.

Was working great and deserved 5 Stars. But now not working. Downloads 0 bytes. Now 1 star because 0 stars not an option. Please fix.

Best ever download tool for youtube. I can download mp4 and mp3 , very good for my workflow. I has been working for a few years, everytime youtube change the api, this guys fix it fast... thumbs up for the best extension

Literally doesn't work

Over a month ago I installed it and it worked just fine. Then about a week or so ago everytime I log on to my computer it has me reinstalling it. Now when I go and try and download a mp4 at youtube it say's its downloading superfast and after its threw there is 0bits. So it doen not work. I'll try and reinstall it one last time before I remove it.
