- Rated 1 out of 5by HoraceB, 4 months agoI downloaded/re-installed Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express Version 21.3 today 16/11/2025 but it still produces the same message as the 2 previous versions - "Generating download link, pls wait..." and fails to generate any link to download a Youtube video.
It also doesn't create a download button as shown on the "How to use" tab.
No options to even specify what quality of video you want to download.
Tried it in a Firefox Private window as well, but still no improvement - just the same message to "pls wait...".
Very disappointing.Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi HoraceB! Stuck on "Generating download link, pls wait..." even after reinstalling — that was a persistent bug across versions. Version 24.1 addresses this from the ground up. Please update to 24.1 (not just reinstall the old version) and the download button should appear and work properly. Hope this finally sorts it for you! 🙏 - Rated 1 out of 5by majesticmini, 4 months ago

Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi ShadoStar! Downloading Arabic audio when you didn't want it — that sounds like a language selection bug. Version 24.1 is now out and should fix the format and language selection. Please update before deleting — it should offer proper formats including MP3. If it works, we'd love a second chance and an updated review! 🙏 - Rated 1 out of 5by KS, 4 months agoWorked previously, but does not anymore. As of Nov 11th, all youtube videos return a "failed to parse this page" error.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi KS! "Failed to parse this page" error since Nov 11th — that was a YouTube page structure change that broke things. Version 24.1 is now out and handles the updated page format. Please update and it should work again. If it does, we'd love an updated review! 😊 Developer response
posted 17 days agoHey! "Buggy like hell" is fair — it really wasn't working well. Version 24.1 is a significant fix that addresses the core issues. Update and give it a fresh try. If it's a different experience, we'd really appreciate an updated review! 🙏Developer response
posted 17 days agoBonjour ! 😊- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16134986, 4 months agoRequires payment to download 1080p, which is a joke.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! The extension is completely free — 1080p downloads should not require payment. That was an old limitation that's been addressed. Version 24.1 is now out and you can download videos without any payment prompts. Give it a try! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19060026, 4 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Axolotl, 4 months agoAs I clicked on one video, it seemed fine, it worked as normal, just one button that let me download the video, amazing, but a slight glimmer caught my eye, a shining video in the sea of terrible ones, I clicked on it, naturally, but then I noticed something strange. There was another download button, I thought nothing of it, only a one time bug, probably, but no, as I clicked on more videos, more buttons popped up, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 once I got to 7, all hell broke loose, my cpu usage shot up to 100% I could hear my pc at the gates of hell fighting Satan himself, but it wasnt over, I opened more, determined to take this as far as possible. 8, 9, and finally 10, after this much, my computer gave in as satan called for backups, and it was surrounded by the cursed forced to forever roam the underworld. It had lost the battle, gave up, and closed firefox. May that innocent instance of Firefox roam Valhalla forever. RIP.

posted 17 days agoHi Axolotl! The "gates of hell" CPU saga is quite the visual 😄 That multiple buttons + memory leak bug was real and we're sorry it put your PC through the wringer. Version 24.1 fixes this — just one button, no CPU chaos. Update and give it a try. If it's back to normal, we'd love an updated review! 🙏 Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! MP3 download is actually supported — it may not have been visible due to a display bug. Version 24.1 fixes the UI issues, so the MP3 option should now appear clearly in the download menu. Give it an update and try again! 😊- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18607084, 4 months agoBefore last update,m no problems. Now, every time I download a video over 200MB, this AddOn consumes a lot of resources, pauses other videos\streams I have running & takes out the audio channel on some.
This app now eats even more memory and freezes everything when downloading.
Oh, and did I mention the massive, incredibly invasive ad\begging letter?Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! Resource consumption and freezing during large downloads — that's a real issue we've worked on. Version 24.1 improves performance significantly. We've also toned down the donation prompts. Please update and try downloading a large video again. If the experience is better, we'd love an updated review! 🙏 Developer response
改善されましたら、レビューの更新もぜひよろしくお願いします!😊- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18725834, 5 months agoLmao, locking mp3 and 1080p downloads behind a paywall. Fucking money hungry bitches.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! The extension is free — mp3 and 1080p should not be behind a paywall. This sounds like it may have been a display bug rather than an intentional restriction. Version 24.1 is now out and all formats should be freely accessible. Give it an update and try again! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by Fabião, 5 months agoPropaganda enganosa.
False advertisement, there's no option for .mp3 download.Developer response
🙏 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19541784, 5 months agowhat no English this sucks . i want English not every thing else
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! The extension interface should be in English by default. If you were seeing another language, it may have been a display issue. Version 24.1 is now out — please update and it should be in English. Hope it works better for you! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by John Mill, 5 months agodoesn't do anything, it's stuck at "generating links..." forever.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi John! That infinite "generating links..." loop was a real headache. Version 24.1 is now out and fixes this — it should generate the link and start downloading without getting stuck. Update and give it another try! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12857698, 5 months agoНичего это говно не скачивает, только донаты выпрашивает.
Developer response
🙏 - Rated 1 out of 5by gorp, 5 months agoDoesn't work yet it has the gall to spam you with ads asking you to pay the developer. Do not download this adware.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! We hear you on the donation prompts — they were too aggressive and we've toned them down in version 24.1. The extension is free and not adware. It also actually works now — the download bug is fixed. Give it one more try with the updated version! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17628674, 5 months agoHad the premium version it says application out of date and the plug in extension stopped working. As of 2026.
Developer response
posted 17 days agoHi! Sorry about the "out of date" error — that's now fixed with version 24.1. Please update to the latest version and the extension should work again in 2026. No need for premium — it's all free! If it works, we'd love an updated review! 😊 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19221936, 5 months ago
