- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 14794631, 7 years agoThis add-on is really only functional by purchasing the 'Pro' upgrade, for a "one-time fee". I did so, over a year ago now, and the product worked fine.
However, the product stopped functioning a few days ago and I received an email from the developer, Dishita, advising that the verification process he'd been using (for 'Pro' users to use the upgrade) was faulty, and allowed links to be shared which allowed non-paying users to consume his bandwidth.
He advised that he was therefore changing the verification process he was using.
Fair enough.
But then he basically mentioned, "Oh, and by the way, if you made your one-time purchase over a year ago, you'll have to make another "one-time" purchase in order to restore functionality of the product."
I call BS on this.
Absolutely NO WAY I would purchase this again, from a developer who so flagrantly displays a lack of integrity in his dealings with customers.
Who's to say he wont do it again? And again?
I'm out.
There are too many other good options...
P.S. - I am also hearing that this developer is BUYING favorable reviews. I dont know if that's true, or not. But consider yourself warned about both of these issues! - Rated 1 out of 5by InGFranco., 7 years agoMalware, hara que te aparezcan un par de de anuncios por cada minuto de video. Basura, solo si eres usuario de pago te funcionara, asi que piensalo.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Karl , 7 years agoDoes not work. As soon as you try to download, it sends you to a page to buy something.

- Rated 1 out of 5by EasyPeasy, 7 years agoI've been using Mozilla FF and addons a long time. I know to wait for YouTube addon changes, because YT often do change their formats and addon developers have to catch up. I've come here to see if the developer has made a mention of the MP4 download issue or if others are still having this issue and there are a lot of people giving low star reviews...then five 5 star reviews on top of them. In a row. That tells me the reviews are being falsely 5 starred, probably by repeat accounts and possibly by the developer to counter-balance the negative ones. IT IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE TO LEAVE BAD REVIEWS WHEN AN ADDON STOPS WORKING AND DECEITFUL TO MANIPULATE WITH POSITIVE ONES. I was considering buying the product for the HD MP3 downloads, but not now. Siyanara.

After a while it stopped working and displays: "Youtube switched to separate audio/video streaming technology for higher quality formats and no longer provides direct 720p (Since 24 September 2018)/1080p/mp3 streams. Converting these streams to downloadable formats for you needs powerful server infrastructure, therefore 1080p/mp3 downloading has been limited to PRO users. Read more at - https://videodroid.org/pro_upgrade.html. FREE users can download all formats in CACHE where some PRO users fetched the video/audio in past 24 hours, to test the feature you can try downloading popular videos."
When I go to their website, under support this is all you get: "Usage of this website and all provided products is subject to compliance of your countries legal permissions, if your local laws do not permit downloads and audio conversions of online videos you are not allowed to use this service. You are also not permitted to use this utility to infringe any sort of copyright by downloading multimedia content which you don't have rights to use or is not open-source." -- That's it. They display this blurb and nothing else. There is no support. So if you purchase this add on, there is nothing you can do if it fails.
Update: On the advice of the developer in the comment below I tried the new version. It downloads 0 bytes. Still "1" rating.
Update: A week later it downloads but not in HD. It asks me to upgrade with another $30. I just did recently, apparently it does not remember. Still 1 stars. For all the annoyance, and considering I paid for it, if I could I would give it 0 stars.Developer response
