Correct my comment, not so stable, possible conflict with youtube enhancer. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13421452, 7 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Zal, 7 years agoThe Easy Youtube Video Downloader release notes say, "Many users are still using OLD design and do not know how to get the NEW Youtube layout, this update suggests solution to FIX this for old layout users." While I'm sure that would be helpful to some users, there's another reason why users are still using the old design. They simply don't like the new one.
In any case, YouTube is auto-injecting "?disable_polymer=1" into the URL of a user's _Video_ page. This is triggering Easy Youtube Video Downloader to display a red warning dialog box informing the user that Easy Youtube Video Downloader is not compatible. Not compatible with what, static thumbnail images on a page that Easy Youtube Video Downloader should have ignored?
Whether from an acknowledgment checkbox, from "Options" or from "About: Config"; it would have been extremely useful to be able to disable further compatibility checking.
Aside from the two issues mentioned above, the add-on works as described.
Removed one star for false-positive compatibility warning on non-video page and removed one star for missing option to eliminate irritant. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13561150, 7 years ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13420680, 7 years agoSeems to work well, but you have to pay a minimum of 10 $ USD in order to be able to download in HD quality. IF you don't pay the highest quality you can get is 720.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Mark, 7 years agoThe add-on works great, very clean simple interface. But the upgraded version seems to be a scam. There doesn't seem to be any way for them to track who has paid and who has not. After sending money, I received no follow up email, no link to upgrade the add-on, no registration key. Just a receipt from Paypal and an add-on that does nothing more than it initially did.
Get the free version, but don't waste your money hoping for more.Developer response

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13312722, 7 years agoI knew about that option to disable ANY auto-update for my addons. I was hoping for an option in your Downloader not to check for updates. Anyway.
Meanwhile I got another new issue. Now it's displaying that red warning about the beta layout design.
Why does it still warn me random sometimes if the new design is always off? Did Google/Youtube change something again?
